First I’ll say that the app is so easy and intuitive to use. All of the locations and pharmacies that are close to you are listed and time slots are provided to make the appointment process and uploading your information seamless. Second I’ve never written a review before but I was so moved by my experience with Katherine Alexander at the 30 Broad Street location that I had to share!!! This was my first time visiting the office and I will do everything in my power to keep seeing her. I’ve been to other offices where you feel like a number and the provider is just trying to get you in and out as quickly as possible but Katherine took time to really discuss the treatment plan and how the medicines would work together to get me feeling my best. It’s so rare to see kindness and empathy like that nowadays in the medical field. If you’re tired of feeling like your provider is jaded and just hitting a quota and only gives you 5 minutes of their time - go to One Medical and specifically Katherine. Thank you so much Katherine!
Wow. Just wrapped my first appointment at one medical and I am now a convert. This is what seeing the doctor in the 21st century should be. Appointment starts on time and ends on time. Excellent care totally focused on you. Seamless communication and updates via the mobile app. One Medical is the best, so glad I switched!
Staff and practitioners are friendly, punctual, and practical. And you should come just for the views.
I was called 1 hour before my appointment to be told I would need to arrive early for registration purposes. Unfortunately I was in a meeting during the call. While biking frantically to make meeting on time, I called back and let them know that it was late notice to arrive early. They said they'd call me back. I was blocks away from the office when I was told my appointment was canceled because there wouldn't be enough time to perform a physical, which I stated I didn't need. Just prescriptions filled. The receptionist was cold and unapologetic while we rescheduled for 6pm that day. I had to move all my meetings and deadlines around to accomodate. I returned and learned that the registration could have been done before hand the 3 people I spoke with before did not mention this. I had my appointment which took ten minutes. The doctor was cold. He told me I was very lucky because the lab was about to close and I needed to quickly draw blood. I told him the story from the morning and he was condescending and said most people say they are here or will only be a little late. The only person who had a smile or sense of warmth was the woman who drew my blood. She was stellar. Overall I find the customer service and care sub par. I paid $250 to be treated rude and poorly.
I used to be a huge fan of One Medical, but feel that the quality of service has taken a deep dive of late. I had a recent visit with Katherine Alexander, FNP-BC who was unable to answer basic questions about directly conflicting information between her recommended course of treatment and that of a specialist that One Medical had referred to me two days prior. She had poor listening skills, was distracted while I was asking my questions instead of listening, she was focused on shuttling me out the door to get to the next patient, and was not great at communicating. She did not respond to follow-up messages via the one medical app for 8+ hours or more at a time. I would seriously avoid this practitioner for your own health’s sake. Then today I received a highly impersonal letter from One Medical that my personal information a check I remitted for payment was not properly disposed of, was left in tact outside of their facility, and that my personally identifiable information was exposed. They offered no remedy other than instructing me to monitor and/or protect my credit at my own expense. For a concierge doctor service that costs $200/year just to have access, this level of negligence is unacceptable.
One Medical Offices really are what healthcare could and should be like. The staff and doctors are kind, patient and knowledgeable. They work hard to ensure patients are treated with care and respectfully. They even work hard to help you. The offices are always spotless and extraordinarily pleasant, this one, was no different.
A great first patient experience. I don't have any medical conditions that I felt warranted a "membership" but after my visit, I get it. Timely, personal and thorough care. Not that you will need to wait but the waiting room is posh and comfortable.
The office at Broad St. and the one overlooking Central Park are both chic and comfortable. My physician, Dr. Jani, is an NYU grad and an internist who seems good at spotting problems before they can develop. She is also personable, as are the half dozen or so front office people I have dealt with at either office. She moved; I followed. I lived 20 years in Cali., and this is a Cali. based operation, with a pleasant, nearly laid back vibe. I sometimes come a bit early and linger just to look out at their amazing views, the kind you see in movies. Never did that before in a doctor's office. If only all doctor offices were like these!
Beautiful office. Appointment started on time. Doctor and admin were all super kind and helpful. Really excited to be a new patient here!
The service has been very nice, and one is remiss One Medical @ Wall Broad St. fails to make you wait; the "posh" waiting room itself with its views serves as a remedy. Suffice it to say, I can't wait to get the flu, again.
