One of the best doctors I have ever had. She really spends time understanding your issues and is very solution oriented. Have had a wide range of medical issues and she has handled all of them. Thanks!!
If it wasn’t for Dr Carron, I wouldn’t have gotten the surgery I needed to relieve myself of the sciatica pain I had been struggling with for over a year. I got bad advice from another doctor, and had decided to just accept that I was going to be in pain and have physical limitations for the foreseeable future. Dr Carron, however, quickly picked up on the seriousness of my symptoms during an annual check up, and was able to refer me to a great surgeon who took my health insurance. She went out of her way to make sure I was speaking to the right doctors and got all of the necessary tests done despite everything happening around the holidays and recovering from surgery herself. Finally I am pain free, and will soon be able to exercise without compromise again. Thank you, Dr Carron & team!
Dr Carron is a blessing to me. She diagnosed my autoimmune disease and referred me to the top specialists for it. She always understands my medical issues and connects me with the best care. I trust her with my life.
Dr. Carron is the most attentive and caring physician I have ever had. She really takes the time to listen, to consider your problem as it relates to your entire healthcare picture, and goes above and beyond to find a solution. A couple of years ago, she correctly diagnosed a condition that had been missed/misdiagnosed by two other physicians, then got me in to see the necessary specialist the next day, despite them having told me that there was a month wait to get an appointment. Today, when I was in crisis, she not only moved her schedule around to squeeze me in, she also spent a huge amount of time I suspect she skipped her own lunch listening to everything that was going on and finding a solution. After having brought this problem to the attention of other doctors and having it brushed off, I finally felt like someone CARED-- which was almost as healing as the medicine itself. She may have saved my life and she certainly saved my sanity. This is what medical care is supposed to be. Thank you so much, Dr. Carron!
Dr. Carron has been my primary care doctor since just after 9/11. For nearly 20 years, Dr. Carron has demonstrated time and time again her commitment to providing the best possible care for her patients, and her on-going dedication to the practice of medicine at the highest levels of excellence. Dr. Carron is whip-smart, thorough, diligent and always up-to-date on the full scope of medical issues and treatments facing both patients and doctors today. In all my dealings with Dr. Carron and my observations of the way in which her practice is run, she has been consistently compassionate, dedicated, and respectful, while delivering an uncommonly high level of professional competence and razor-sharp clinical instincts with a remarkable humility. I cannot recommend her highly enough. That Dr. Carron cares deeply about her patients is axiomatic. In addition, however, she understands the full scope of each patient's medical conditions and has a thorough knowledge of each individual's personal and professional life. Dr. Carron is thus uniquely able to understand and address the totality of each patient's situation medical, personal and professional and treat them accordingly. She is the epitome of the "One Doctor" approach to doctor-patient relationships which is growing increasingly rare as the medical profession becomes ever-more specialized and fragmented. Having an extraordinary primary care physician like Dr. Carron matters more today than ever before. Being a physician -- particularly a primary care physician -- is a difficult, stressful job. In addition to Dr. Carron's medical expertise and all the other talents that make her such an outstanding physician, Dr. Carron treats each patient as an individual, consistently delivering medical services with honesty, good humor and grace. I feel lucky to have her as my primary care physician.
Dr Cathy Carron is an expert physician. I've been seeing her for almost 5 years. She's a wonderful internist and usually can fix whatever problem I come in with immediately. On the rare occasion where I've brought her a doozy, she's given me referrals to excellent specialists. If you are looking for a GP, I think it is important to keep in mind how good they are at referring you to specialists. Dr Cathy has so much experience in New York City, she knows the best and will send you to the best. Additionally, Dr Cathy is extremely compassionate and caring. She is the sweetest person. She's also extremely funny and quite frankly great to hang out with. She will get to know you and allow you to get to know her. Her personability is an enormous strength in her medical practice. Generally, I think most would agree going to the doctor isn't the funnest thing to do. However, when you go to Dr Cathy, you'd be surprised how much you enjoy yourself! Finally, her support staff is excellent. Brigette her nurse and Priscilla her front-of-the house person are BEYOND amazing. They are the sweetest people who do the best work. They have been with her since I started seeing her around 5 years ago. Not only is it excellent for the patients to have this additional consistency and continuity in their care, but also it signals to me that Dr Cathy is the best because these folks have stuck with her for so long.
Dr. Carron seems to have a larger focus on billing than patients. While she was very helpful and friendly during my multiple visits, I found time and again that before making any referrals she needed to see and bill you. I injured my knee... she needed to look at it to tell me I needed to see someone who specialized in that. I called today to get a refill on my asthma medication a chronic illness so there should be no concerns and was told I have to make an appointment first. I asked to speak to the doctor. I was told to go to the portal. I went to the portal and the person who responded was the same person I spoke to on the phone who said I need to make an appointment. Clearly the money from the appointment was more important than the fact that I needed asthma medication. I am going to the walk in clinic to get my prescription. It is less expensive and they actually try to help.
Doctor Carron is a Great Human Being and a Better Professional. She is constantly looking into helping her patients to obtain the best Care possible!
