Rock Soft Futon

The people at Rock Soft Futon went above and beyond for me. I am disabled and they delivered the mattress to my apartment and took it up to the 4th floor which I could have never been able to do by myself with my back. They were very patient with my order I have speech problems and very nice and polite. I felt like crying I was so happy to have a nice bed to help lessen my body pain.also my cat Boo loves it as well, great quality bed. It is like the Yo I had from Korea.

Felt at peace the moment I walked into the factory. I was given space to browse and envy the beautiful craftsmanship; before purchasing a tatami mat, tatami bed and shikibuton. Also the adorable side table is my favorite! Excellent, excellent, excellent!

This place is great. I purchased a futon bed frame and love seat to furnace my new place. The guys at this place built the frame and futon from scrap. They called me and consulted me throughout the process to make sure the build suited my home. They even detailed the frame to fit over the floor moulding. I am very pleased with the end result, and happy that Portland still has a place where the business is so connected to making sure customers are happy. I definitely recommend this place if you are looking for great service and unique/quality futon plus accessories.

If you are in need of a new bed, seating furniture, or other living/bed room furniture, I can't recommend Rock Soft enough! I got a shiki buton, cover, and tatami mats all custom for a fantastic value. The shiki buton style has helped my posture and quality of sleep immensely. They have other bed styles, and they will make any piece custom just for you.

Our deluxe, wool RockSoftFuton was the first piece of furniture in our new place. When our bed arrived, we weren’t sure if we’d even get prefer the mattress to our new futon.

Love Rock Soft Futon!!! I've been shopping there for years. The quality of materials and customer service keeps me coming back. The shop is a huge warehouse space - super groovy and filled with all kinds of furniture, fabrics, furnishing ideas and reggae beats makes the atmosphere personable and easy-going... definitely worth dropping by to see all the goods and say hello. Plus John, the owner, is a native Portlander who's been in the business for years. He's loyal to the community and keeping it real.

The Rock Soft crew went above and beyond for me. They were super helpful when I was picking out my futon. Then when I had a defective strata part they went to work getting it replaced. To top it off they even brought the piece to my home and reassembled the futon. Customer service like that is rare.

Do I need a futon in every room? Sadly, no. But this place makes me wish I did! We bought a queen sized mattress and frame here and had all our questions thoughtfully answered by the knowledgeable staff. Their showroom has lots of options and everything is high quality unlike the cheap stuff you find online. Dare I even say we had fun buying a futon? We did! Maybe we don’t get out enough.

I was having the worst back pain over the summer and decided it was time for a new mattress. I have an odd shaped attic bedroom with sloping ceilings so thought a low bed would be the best option. I checked out the Rock Soft Futon showroom and marveled at their selection. After stretching out on one of their beds, I nearly fell asleep so I knew I was sold. Within a week, I had a handcrafted mattress delivered with a low frame, painted a dark walnut to blend with my decor. I also purchased a latex mattress topper which is way better than memory foam in my own opinion and John even designed me a headboard to fit my unique space. Since getting it, I feel like my spine is on holiday and the pain has pretty much gone away. I’m sure my chiropractor will miss me but I don’t care

Love our new shikibuton and Rocksoft Futons! Great knowledge, friendliness, and good conversation with the staff. Old school welcoming vibe, option to sit or lie on the futons, and openness to all our questions helped to make our choice easy. 100% recommend it!
