The bread we bought was great. The grain salad not so much. Didn't realize it came with a poached egg and some sort of odd pickles tomatoe. Would have asked for a hard boiled egg. Hipster guy simply plopped our food on table, walked away, never came back. Seemed overtaxed or bored when I asked for takeout box. Only 2 other tables had customers.
Things you should know: I. LOCATION Within Ponce City Market, on the second level of shops. II. SERVICE No complaints III. QUALITY Fresh & delicious. The ginger molasses cookie we bought had a crisped outer edge and gooey center; perfection. The coffee, on the other hand, well... This is a bakery and not a coffee shop. So, don't expect their coffee to be the spotlight with selections and options. It is, however, a nice pairing to their pastries. IV. CAPACITY There was a small line with a quick wait time for a Saturday, early noon. There's no seating within the shop, so don't expect to come here looking for a nice sit-down experience. You'll have to go out into the common area / shared space of the entire Ponce City Market.
Things to know: The times listed on Google maps and on the business website are incorrect. This place is not open 9am-2pm Mon-Fri. It’s Tuesday a little before 11am and they’re not open and show no signs that they’re even gonna be open today. People are walking up to peer inside and walking away disappointed. That’s $$ walking away because y’all have incorrect hours on your sites. There is no menu available on Google or the business website currently. I’ve found one menu for building an egg sandwich, so maybe they only sell build-your-own egg sandwiches now. They are not responsive on social or by email. I had a 30 minute walk to get here today and had a bunch of questions that I hoped would save me the trip especially if they weren’t open. No responses at all to any inquiries on Insta or via email. I would have liked to eat here today but will wait for one of the other Ponce Market businesses to open instead. Please update your business hours to reflect current operating hours. I’m sure locals know when you’re open already, but it might help you to get more business if people can plan to visit. Not trying to be mean, just disappointed.
Absolutely phenomenal breakfast sandwich. One of the best I’ve had - hands down. Hard roll, egg, cheddar and chicken sausage.
I come here every weekend to get my croissant and a cookie. My favorite is the egg croissant that just melt in your mouth. This place is worth every penny. I would for sure recommend the spot.
Cute little outpost for an artisan bakery. They clearly know what theyre doing because all the product looks perfect. Egg sandwiches were absolutely delicious and well seasoned but wayy too small... also wish they served a proper coffee offering instead of a latte in a can.
Delicious food, albeit a bit over-priced for the portion size. I LOVE their salad, which has seasonal ingredients and their baked goods. Be warned though, their sign does not lie that the food here is SLOW. I’ve consistently waited almost 20 min for my salad when there was nobody else in the bakery.
The jazzy-elevator music and the big space makes this cafe a good study spot. A lot of things to choose from the menu and the pumpkin butter toast is yummmm : It's located in Ponce City Market so there's a lot to do around the area, and the music helps drone out the noise coming from the actual market.
Great new meal spot on the second floor of PCM, features freshly-baked goods for soups, sandwiches, salads and sweet goods. It is located next to the new Topstitch.
Sad they had to downsize their shop but they did not downsize in flavor and quality. The croissant sandwiches are a huge winner and all their baked sweets are impeccable. My favorite is the morning bun. Think your childhood cinnamon sugar bread but flaky and butterier than you can imagine. It was a spiritual experience eating it.
