Great spot with a lot of history. Still rated one of the top hot dog houses in the country. Regular hot dog is great, or you could go with the well done which is also great. The onion rings are one of the best I've ever had. Also, do try the relish if you are I relish person. It is not a pickle relish, it is a cabbage based relish. Excellent food.

This is a New Jersey staple and has been featured on many different TV shows. Stop in and get yourself a hot dog. The hot dogs are deep-fried and you get your options of mustard and homemade relish as condiments. Hot dogs in general aren't for everyone but they have additional options for those that aren't. (Do not ask for a chili dog because they will not give it to you.)

This is the quintessential place for hot dogs. The dogs here aren't your usual street-cart variety, they are deep fried and they are amazing. The "rippers" so named because the casing rips during frying are so good you can't stop. Toppings are all on the side and the onions, sauerkraut, relish and mustard are all house made. The chili us outstanding.. meaty hearty with just the right amount of spice. Prices are almost the same as they were when the place opened in 1928. Worth a trip from anywhere if you are a hot dog connoisseur.

The hot dogs are superb. A delicacy of fried meat with a specialty mustard so exquisite, you’ll have to order at least a dozen hot dogs and a side of onion rings. One day, I’ll take my kids here. And when they express concern for my health I’ll tell them it was all worth it. Every. Single. Bite.

No question this is a dive. Rutt's Hut looks like it has not been updated in 40 years. The service is quick, prices are reasonable, the hot dogs are crisp. Place is cash only. I have heard about it for years. Glad to have finally been there.
