Bonus points for being open 24 hours. They have a great variety of everything. The hot food and bakery sections are large. The self check was a little confusing because it starts on an aisle and you don’t realize how long it is until a cashier corrects you. Bags are 10 cents so invest in some reusable shopping bags.

Good grocery in DC. Parking garage and some street parking. 24 hours. If you are a tourist and around convention center or Capital One Arena easy to get to this location. Hot food and salad bar. Variety. Coffee shop inside. A fair amount of ethnic foods but could use a larger variety of this considering it is DC.

This place legitimately sucks. It's filthy, they have much of nothing stocked, and at the busiest peak hours and peak days of the week there are only a handful of registers open, you can Bank on waiting in line to give them your money for twice as long as it took you to find whatever you were shopping for, and if the exorbitant amount of time it takes them to check you out plus your shopping time exceeds 90 minutes, you can Bank on paying nearly 20 bucks for parking. Just drive down the street half a mile to the Giant, Harris Teeter, Walmart, Trader Joe's, or Whole Foods.

BEWARE: Check all expiration dates before you purchase from this store. It's our local supermarket, and we now make sure to triple-check the expiry dates here. They seem to be willing to sell expired food rather than provide a good experience.

This is the best Safeway I’ve been to in a long time. Always cleaner and nearer than the rest in the city. The produce and meat selection is fresh and stocked with pride. So many other locations have stuff thrown on shelves. The store team is simply awesome and full of joy during all my few visits a month.
