Walmart Supercenter

It's a Walmart. It's okay. It's a "ghetto Walmart". Even though it's a stones throw from the US Capitol and Union Station. I recommend going to a larger "more traditional, suburban" Walmart. They're always running out of stuff and never have what you're looking for.

Like a scene from The Walking Dead. Cluttered isles, abandoned carts, empty shelves, trash etc... True, all large grocery and shopping stores in DC seem to have a funky smell and general disorder to them, but this one is the worst. Most employees had their face buried in their smartphones. The lines were a mess and slow. I would avoid this one at all costs. To be fair there is one good Walmart in DC but I won't name them so I don't jinx it.

Unique layout, but i guess thats the big city. Store staff didn't seem to want to help. Had one employee kept yelling about applying for a Walmart Credit Card. Went in looking for a clothing item, found where they should have been, stock was short, had three staff walk by, non acknowledged me or ask if they could help.

This has to be the worst Walmart location I have ever had the misfortune of visiting. I always try to give it a chance but my experience there worsens every time. This Walmart location primarily serves people of color and it is apparent that management has little regard for the neighborhood and the community that frequents it. The shelves are often bare and every time I make a trip there, there are at least 1 or 2 items on my list of shopping that they’ve run out of. They also lock up the hair products for natural hair, which isn’t a coincidence that women of color tend to favor these products. In order to get a natural hair product you have to get assistance from an employee who stands over you and watches you pick out your products. It’s just a generally uncomfortable and disappointing experience and there are plenty of other competitors that you can shop with that have the same products. If you’re a woman of color looking for products just don’t even bother. Take your dollars elsewhere.

Pleasant & helpful employees store just needs to be a little bit better organized. I like that they always have plenty of cashiers open so there is no long waiting to be checked out!👍
