Saiguette offers Laska in their menu. I had not seen many Asian restaurants offered Laska, so I was excited to try this place. I ordered shrimp Laska, lemongrass pork sandwich, and beef pho. Those were classics that I like. The beef pho was as good as I expected. The pork sandwich was great, next time I would like no jalapeños. The noodle in the shrimp Laska was not what I expected, but at least I got to try Laska. Happy!
Woah, now that’s a sandwich. Bahn mi I got the lemongrass pork bahn mi— good portion, nice flavor, a little heat. Definitely would go back!
Seriously one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. I love bahn mi and this was perfect. I got the lemongrass pork and it’s so flavorful and tender. Really nice amount of carrots, cilantro and cucumber. Would highly recommend this sandwich!!!! Also to owners—would love a lemongrass tofu sandwich if you ever consider adding a vegetarian option!
Saiguette has been fueling me with the absolute BEST shrimp and garlic chive dumplings, laksa soup, bun, and banh mi for years, and now finally after stopping delivery due to COVID they’re back to delivering only thru Uber eats. Thank god. I nearly teared up when I ordered them for the first again time. The bubble tea is a win too. Always fast and so fresh and flavorful!
Best banh mi near the upper west side, way better than anywhere Ive tried, great prices and portion too. Can't go wrong with any of the varieties. Their pho is also fire
Delicious food and cozy place. Good for take out where there is 15% discount. Lunch is 10% off. We chose to dine in today but the customers waiting for table are not too discrete for seat. Best pork shoulder sandwich so far, and pho with beef is great too. Overall UWS price but worth to try totally.
They only do take out & you have to order through "toast" service. I gave 20 minutes despite Toast saying it would be ready for pick-up in 10 minutes. Well, I've been standing here for 30 more minutes making it nearly 50 minutes after my order & the food is not ready. I'm not doing this ever again. I used to like this place but they lost me today.
Quotable things to say about this place: "It's cheap, so price matches quality." "It's ight." "You get what you paid for." Overall: It's average in taste, but budget friendly. - Limited seating, so be mindful of that. - They have a good menu that offers plenty at competitive pricing, so Columbia students will likely be frequenting this establishment. - However, what they succeed in affordability, they lose in flavor profile. - Their chicken curry dish didn't offer a good threshold of taste. It tasted like chicken from a soup can i.e. bland to say the least. - Their wait time was fair; judging by how busy they can get. - Their portion size was appreciable. - They knew what they were doing with their sticky rice. Go here if you're in the area looking for a cheap meal. Other than that, nothing special. Was my review helpful? Very good lemongrass pork bahn mi. The portion of pork was substantial. Would definitely return.
I dont know. Ive been here before and loved it. The sandwiches are amazing but this time the pho was flavorless. Very dissappointed. This restaurant is a hole in the wall with basically no where to sit. They do have a counter against the window with stationed stools. But not comfortable.
