I was in the mood to eat pizza similar to the one in New York where I was a few days ago, the ones of 99 cents. I put on maps pizza near me and appeared this place, simple and perfect for what I was looking for. Besides a piece of Pizza Bought garlic bread and were all very delicious, recommend for lovers of "street" food. I bought it to go and it didn't take more than 5 minutes in the site. For sure I'll be back!
First time stopping in to try this place. Staff wasn’t overly friendly, don’t recall even getting a greeting. I told them it was my first time here, usually most restaurants will get excited hearing that news and will even offer to give you suggestions on what’s most popular. Nope got none of that. Was just pointed to a menu and told to let them know when I’m ready. I got the cheesesteak, it was good but certainly not the best. However I will give them another chance and try pizza next time.
Great little pizza joint within walking distance of the Bojangles Colosseum. They had pre-made pizzas you could chose from in the afternoon/evening that they heat up. The garlic knots were the best ever. We had a Buffalo chicken pizza, eggplant Parmesan, and vodka chicken pizza all were very delicious. Great little pizza joint before hockey or anytime for a good pizza.
A large pizza was more than I needed but it was only $2 more than a medium so I had to do it, right? Two slices filled me up! Sal’s doesn’t skimp on the toppings like some pizza places. I wish they used fresh mushrooms instead of canned I think the liquid made the crust soggy on my pizza, which I asked for well done because I like a crispy crust. I’m glad I tried Sal’s to see what all the hype is about. I think it’s better than Hawthorns but not quite as good as Bisonte.
Horrible service! Was greeted then never received a menu or anything. Finally we had to walk up and ask for menus. Waited forever and then the pizza came out very burnt. The crust crumbled and had the texture of sand. Spoke to others in the parking lot as we left with a similar experience. Plenty of staff not sure what they were doing. 3 were sitting in the back of the seating area. I would avoid going here at all costs. Plenty of other restaurants near by. The bites we did take did not taste good. The pizza was supposed to be drizzled with olive oil and it looks like it was just poured on spots.
1st time here and 10/10 recommend. I love great pizza and this was awesome for me ! We got pizza slices wings and a hot sub, everything was great and service was nice. Thank you to the staff!Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: NoTakeout: Yes
I've been 3 times, not impressed one bit. First time I got the baked ziti pizza and like it however wasn't worth almost $30 so didn't get again. Tried take out slices one time and it was super dry but wanted something quick again so tried it again. I almost walked out when she said the price. $11 for 2 slices of dried out reheated slices that is basically just red sauce with light cheese that are paper thin. Taste is pretty good and can expect pizza by the slice to be a little dryer since it isn't made to order, understandable, but the price for it is crazy. I was in north end Boston a couple weeks ago and two cost $7 and way bigger slices in a super overpriced side of an expensive city. This ain't it.
Really love the pizza here, and definitely will return. The crust was just the right thickness and consistency, the cheese was rich and hearty and the toppings were fresh and bursting with flavor. I literally couldn't ask for anything more, and the leftover slices were even better the next day.
WOW... a New Jersey slice pizza place in the heart of Charlotte.. what a great find! I tried 3 different pizzas.. all excellent.. Scillian, Margarita and Square with fresh tomatoes... This should be your go-to place in Charlotte..and open to 11 on Saturday!!!
We ordered the Sicilian style pizza which is a thick crust. It must have weighed 5 pounds. It is as thick as a Chicago deep dish. It was crispy edges and not soggy. Sauce was on the sweet side but flavorful. Service was friendly and prices are reasonable.
