I don't do campsites, but it's a great place for dispersed camping, hiking and horseback riding. The trails are very sandy and sometimes confusing which can get tiresome when hiking, but the varied plant and animal life make it worthwhile. There was a lot of trash on the east side of the forest. The west side is great. A lot of bugs (in May) and some poison ivy.

Beautiful country if you can overlook all the liter and trash and hundreds of dead fish dumped by the wayside. It's time people get their heads out if their #@#@s! and help keep our America Beautiful! Truly rude and lazy!

Beautiful landscape. Lots of Oak trees. A wonderful recreational forest that belongs to Minnesotans. Unfortunately, it is not uncommon to come across a lot of dumped trash because people are irresponsible and dump anything from microwaves to mattresses off the dirt roads there.

Lots of very nice horse trails but the parking lots are poorly  marked.
