Sanford Auto Train Station

I missed my train, when loading your car you have to be there before 2:30pm when the train leaves my 4 pm. I do take responsibility for not reading that part; however, you guys could put that part in bold red letters lol. I am giving 5 stars for the great customer service. You guys worked with me and was able accommodate me. I am truly thankful.

The train was comfortable and clean. The staff on the train was great. However, BEWARE! This young couple straddled each other in the common area of the plane for fourteen hours with her pulling up his shirt and rubbing his back and he was slapping her but and grabbing her breasts. My 8 year old so was traveling with me and got quite a show. All the passengers did double takes. It was comical that they didnt know better to be embarrassed but the final straw was the 7am sexual activity of straddling and breast grabbing. I complained and they were offered breakfast.

Train didn't leave on time. Departure Was supposed to be 4pm. Didn't leave until a little after 6pm. Then had to stop on the route For a CSC train making repairs. Now This autotrain that I'm on, is 3 hour's behind scheduled arrival time. I have to drive 3 hundred miles from lorton Virginia. Now, by Amtrak putting me behind 3 hour's, I'll have to drive through rush hour traffic . Very bad experience. Will never take the autotrain ever again. All I heard through The trip was apologies from someone over the intercom. Apologies don't make It right. There needs to be money refunded.

Best and convenient way to travel if you need your car, comfortable for the long ride and a bit pricey for the service. I got a good discount and upgrade of service when I called to make reservation.

Thanks Amtrak for almost $1k I got a (non) sleeper near the engine where the whistle blasting all night would have been the reason I got no sleep but the compartment door banging like a clapboard in the wind made sure my noise canceling earphones were useless. Oh, and thanks for canceling my dinner seating as you couldn’t be botheted serving those of us who didn’t want to eat early. Never again.
