Very quick and easy process to apply. no trouble with neighbors or stolen packages. Quiet and respectful neighbors. Small but cozy space to live in. All utilities are also included making everything much easier and convenient.
The management for their properties is incredibly rude and unprofessional. The front desk staff are usually easy to work with and professional. With the exception of one woman who for some reason always speaks to me in a particularly rude way. The management is the same but way worse. I was literally yelled at by the manager because I had no prior knowledge about a policy of theirs. This woman chastised and lectured me in the loudest, angriest voice ever and I was nothing but respectful to her during the entire interaction. I explained my situation using my indoor voice and left. I was not expecting that reaction—that overreaction at all and it honestly left me shaken up. There’s no need to speak to people that way. You can explain things to folks without angrily lecturing them like they’re dumb kids. I’m an adult. I show you respect, so you should show some respect in return.
I have really enjoyed living in my apartment owned and operated by Schulhof Property Management. Highly recommend!
I have rented 3 times previously at numerous locations and this apartment and property management team is the worst I’ve ever seen. The crime rate in this location is abysmal. Students are being robbed left and right at the beginning of the street. A cop was shot 2 blocks away. My apartment window is currently leaking. It’s supposed to rain all day today and Sunday and the property management have not tried to help me at all. All the can say is “There is nothing we can do.” Yet, they have not tried to help me.
I've lived in a Schulhof building for almost three years, and my experience has been really positive! The location is great, and it's well worth being so close to classes if you're a student at Marquette! Management is generally quick to respond to problems and is willing to repair anything needed in the units. I've been really satisfied with management during the time I've lived there! My only complaints generally have to do with the units, but that's not really a management problem. The buildings are very old, so there are some unexpected "quirks" like the electricity not being able to run a hair dryer and air conditioner unit at the same time. My building also does not have individual unit control over the heating system, so there is virtually no control over the unit temperature. I've been able to work with those things to make myself comfortable, but it did take some experimentation. Overall I'm really happy with my unit and management.
I've had a great experience with Schulhof Property Management. I was very last minute in finding housing before school started and was very stressed about finding something affordable. When I contacted Schulhof they responded immediately, making it possible for me to secure on of the last studio apartments available. They also gave me a discounted monthly rent. So far my living arrangement has worked out great and provides me with all the necessities I need as a student.
The units for the apartment building I looked at don't look the look best, but it is affordable and livable. The washing machines in my apartment building only accept quarters, which is fine but I wish told this beforehand. They only accept checks and money orders, which I dislike. Also, if possible, ask to to see the unit you will be moving into before signing the lease because some units may look slightly different. However, some pros are they are very responsive and quickly make repairs.
I live in the centro location. I have really enjoyed the size of my apartment and all the amenities that have been offered. Its a great location on campus. For the price, it's very clean and safe. My neighbors are great and everyone pretty much keeps to themselves. The kitchen is all new and very nice, lots of fridge space. There have been moments where strange people have been in our stair well, but the building managers are always there to help. That being said the managers and the front office seem to have poor communication with one another. This leads to some confusion between tenants and the building owner. The price of laundry/the amount of washers and driers for the amount of tenants is frustrating. Need more laundry space!!
