Scratch Bakery

We ordered a smash cake for our son to use for a photo shoot! I picked the cake up and the crown in which I paid $35.00 extra for had fallen apart. I called the owner of the establishment and she said “Did someone pick up a smash cake with a crown on it today, he says the crown broke”. In the background I hear a woman yell “well what the heck did he do to it?”. We were more than cautious taking the cake back home (15 min drive). The owner says “well what do you want me to do about it? I said I wanted my money back for the crown and she says “well that’s not happening, you won’t be getting any money back whatsoever”. She then blamed it on us saying it must have fallen apart because of something we did because they had a picture when I picked it up and it was fine... I asked if I could send a picture to her and she kept telling me “calm down, calm down, you need to tone it down”... One I was far from yelling, and two what kind of business handles a problem by blaming the customer immediately without even looking at a photo... I will be posting the photo of the cake, you can clearly see it never slid or anything that we could control. It was just poorly constructed and they refuse to take any responsibility for it whatsoever. I will never be giving any business to this establishment ever again and I highly recommend to everyone to do the same, The amount of disrespect from the woman on the phone Was what did it for me. Not even the poorly built cake. The cake alone was $20.00 the crown I had specially made for his smash cake was $35.00 extra... Something that expensive should have held up better than that. Go anywhere else but here.

The best cake anywhere! They stay busy but that's because it's soooo good. The people are so friendly. Going there is like being in one of those cake tv shows. I highly recommend it.

OMG!!!! THIS PLACE IS HEAVEN SENT!!!! THANK YOU SOOO MUCH!! I was feelin so down once I came to this place, but once my aunt gave me a slice of the wedding cake swear to you my day became so much better!!! That wedding cake put a smile on my heart!!! Thank you!!! So much!!

This cake was ordered for a baby shower which was picked up yesterday for the shower which was today. My friend ordered the cake in-person more than a week ago. When she picked the cake up yesterday, she was told that she had to sign a paper which indicated that she was satisfied with the cake, and she stated that she did not want to sign because she was not satisfied. She was told that she could not take the cake without signing. The cake decorator was not present, and we needed a cake, so my friend signed for the cake but made it clear that she was dissatisfied. The umbrella was not upside down, there was very little decoration - VERY little, and by the time it got home, the umbrella had fallen apart and the icing had been messed up from the box. The cake looked nothing like the picture shown during ordering. I honestly could've made this cake. I wouldn't recommend ever purchasing a specially decorated cake from Scratch Bakery.

Ordered a unicorn cake and cupcakes for my daughter's party yesterday.... Im eating cake for breakfast right now!! It was gorgeous and delicious!!!
