With the growing food scene here in Denver there is always a new spot popping up. Señor Bear is one that you should definitely check out. Good service and hospitality! We enjoyed our experience. They've got a selective short menu of good food options many of which are vegan! Plenty of tasty drinks to choose from as well. Their dishes are packed with unique flavors and is what I would consider an upscale Mexican fusion type of place. Great location close to downtown and good for walking around.
Had a great experience at señor bear for brunch this afternoon. My partner and I were very happy with some NA beverages: virgin Bloody Mary and a strawberry horchata. And our breakfast dishes were excellent! I got the chilaquiles which were better than I expected. We sat at the bar and the staff was attentive and kind. I had the same bartender the last time I came in back in June and I think it says a lot about an establishment when the employees stick around. The prices are a little high, but I understand inflation is hitting restaurants especially hard right now. We’ll be back soon!
We happened upon Señor Bear just for convenience sake - we had a reservation at a speakeasy nearby and wanted something small to eat before heading there. This ended up being a phenomenal choice! There were three of us, and we shared an order of patatas and empanadas. They were incredible. Everything was so flavorful and cooked to absolute perfection. There was a table next to us having drinks, and they saw us enjoying our food so much they asked the server to have what we were having - and they ended up loving it just as much.
We scooter here for a quick HH drinks. It was good price and vibe. The drinks were so good for $7 each. Taco was $5.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: Yes
Second time here for brunch. Had chilaquiles and comida completa on this trip. Both very good! The potatoes are crispy and super tasty… can you make a bowl with potatoes? Fan of the bread too! Where does it come from? When the basic things are this good, just think how delicious it all can be! The ambiance, drinks, and staff were all great too!
Overall, food tasted good and we got good service from our waiter, but I took a star because some of the dishes didn’t meet our expectations. The guac was very salty and the “chorizo parrillero” dish wasn’t chorizo, it was a german sausage. We liked the dish regardless, but we ordered that because of the specific meat/flavors. We also had a side of potatoes that the menu indicates it comes with mojo, but unfortunately there was not mojo at least not the traditional mojo from the Canary Islands, Spain, just some dry mild-spicy spices on top. Ceviche and mezcal margarita were on point, though.
Best happy hour ever! The gordo crunch veggie style ; were incredible and the churros with lime zest and brown butter sauce are life changing. The manager is a kind soul who made us feel so welcome and cared for and our server was awesome. We had the best time.
Anytime you can find a Latin spot like this in a city, it's generally going to be amazing. Senor Bear is some of the best food I've had in Denver and I'd come back if I lived in the area.
Amazing food! The enchiladas are a delicious meal, a creamy and crunchy bbq that is quite filling. The ceviche was a wonderful citrus sauce, with enough spice to make it interesting. To finish it off the churros are a delightful crispy dessert with a sweet butter sauce. Fun atmosphere and very good staff, would definitely come back. It's a little more on the pricey side, but it's worth it nonetheless. Great food, great experience!
One of my new favorite spots in Denver! We went for brunch with a reservation and were seated immediately. I got the avocado toast and a passion fruit non-alcoholic drink and loved every bit! The avocado toast is super loaded with fresh ingredients and the passion fruit drink was so good that my only regret is not ordering a second one. :-
