Being a big fan of the original shop in Homewood, I had to check out the new one downtown. What's great is that the coffee is the same, but almost everything else has a more modern, city-like touch. It's truly a different experience from the music to the baked-in-house pastries. I did not have any issues with parking early after Thanksgiving, but I only notice street parking nearby. Check out both because you could like one over the other depending on your mood. Thank you Seeds for your lovely contribution to Birmingham!
It’s a smaller shop but I enjoyed the environment. There was a lot of natural like and the succulents on the tables were adorable. The chairs were a little snug but I might be consider larger in some circles, hell, I might be considered a circle. The cappuccino was delicious and had a handsome leaf. The staff was nice which is always a great particularly when they are excited to be there and you can tell.
Second location also great. Best in Alabama. P.S. Bakery very tasty. ++
Love this place! Everything I’ve tried is great and the staff is super nice. I prefer lattes so that’s mostly what I’ve tried. Unlike other coffee shops in the area, the Seeds lattes are well-balanced. Espresso comes through without being overpowered by the milk or flavorings. I’ve had several of the breakfast items. If you’re hungry get the biscuit sandwich!
Absolutely fantastic coffee, delicious food and a great staff. There are a lot of good coffee places in Birmingham but this is among the best for sure! The iced mocha is out of this world and the breakfast biscuit is always cooked to perfection. Nice atmosphere with cool decor, a strong Wi-Fi connection and really clean bathrooms. What else could you want in a coffee shop? Definitely check this one out.
Seeds has great coffee. Everyone here is super friendly and they don't judge you based off of how much or little you know about coffee. They also have the best chocolate chip cookie I have ever eaten. No exaggeration, hands down the best cookie.
Great little coffee shop! Rustic southern vibes with a modern twist and tasty drinks — everything from nitro cold brew to single origin pour overs the first time I’ve found beans from Laos!. Would highly recommend to any coffee lovers, whether you’re getting a cup for the road or sticking around for some reading.
Great space to get work done, meet up with a friend, and enjoy one of Seeds' great roasts - the Ethiopian Kossa Geshe is fantastic!
This place - I love it. One of my favorite things about this is that they are aware! They're aware that the product that they're handing out needs to be held to a standard. Drinks are always perfect. Bakery products are always on point - never settling and always getting better. Another area where they're aware of and concerned about is environmental. They don't serve beverages with vanilla due to the environmental impact. I learned through the staff at Seeds that vanilla is a threatened plant species - they don't want to be a part of the reason the plant goes extinct. Props to them for being wise stewards.
Nice people, delicious breakfast, and exceptional coffee. I had the avocado toast and the bread was wonderful - dense but soft with a crunchy crust. The honey drizzle on the avocado was also an unexpectedly nice touch.
