It was lunch time and we decided to give this restaurant a try as we were in that area during the time. Not too many options on the menu, but good enough if you are planning for something fancy or good. The restaurant was not crowded or busy with few sitting in the bar. The whole restaurant was being handled by one girl who is at the bar and asked us to sit anywhere. We ordered couple beers and asked us to give us a minute to check the menu and never came back for the next 10 to 15 minutes. We finally ordered the food and it came in a decent amount of time and the food was good enough. It comes with chips and you have to pay extra to upgrade to fries, OR or Cheese curds. After delivering food, she never came back again to check on us while we waited so long to get another round of beer. I will not give this place another try.
We had a great experience! We tried the flatbread pizza within andouille sausage and cucumber ranch dressing and it was delicious a lot of spice! Then we split a short rib sandwich and it was really tender and it had great flavor.
We hosted our wedding reception here. Brian and the team are so attentive and really help pull it together. The pricing wasn't bad especially for a June wedding. The food was delicious I guess love the buffet. We also had an endless champagne Mimosa bar. It was delicious as well and they kept the champagne flowing. We really appreciated all the effort and the quiet atmosphere surrounding our gathering. Thank you again 7th Street social team! -Mrs. & Mrs. Love
Great happy hour. I've been coming here for a few years. I like that they change their menu every so often to keep the experience fresh. They've kept the winners and replaced the losers. Fair prices for St. Paul dining. I can understand the slow service comments from time to time, but I recommend giving this place a try. JAMBALAYA PICTURED
Great food and got great service. Stopped here after golfing at Highland and glad I did. Will be back to try more menu items
The bartender’s wine selection for happy hour was excellent! My friends and I ordered sovereign blanc and Malbec at the $4 happy hour price. There were plenty of free tables at 4 pm on Friday, so if you are looking for a place to meet with a big group, 7th Street Social is ideal. They serve a chilled bottle of water at your table, which is very nice! There’s a free parking lot just outside. The food was okay. I had a green salad and some fries. The location near the river and hillside reminds me of so many locations in Pittsburgh!
Way Over the Top- Exceeded My Expectations! I had a group of 15 for a birthday celebration. The service was perfect. We were attended to immediately for everything we asked. And we are a particular group. The staff were the most friendly and accommodating that I have had. This is including fine dining restaurants. Fiona and Alex were happy, personable, attentive, and just made it all work. Food was excellent also. Plus, we got to sit out on the patio, which was pleasant and had a big shade tree growing through the middle of it. Ou group had salads, cheese curds, shrimp tacos, burgers, grilled cheese, and Jambalaya. Everything about this place with the service, outdoor deck ambience, and food was excellent. Thank you.
My wife and I went here for dinner and had a great time! We ate in the dining room area, which was quiet and relaxed. There was also a bar area that was more lively. Our server was very nice and prompt. My wife had the Voodo Pasta and a pineapple cocktail, both of which she thought were great. I had the Hot Mess burger, which had fresh jalapenos and plenty of bacon and was fantastic. I'd highly recommend this place for a more casual date night.
Not bad but not great. We did have excellent service and some of the food was wonderful—the beet salad alone was worth going for. The social poutine was excellent too. However they were out of both salmon and chicken and waffles which were two things a member of our party wanted. I ordered onion rings which left a lot to be desired...less crunch and a dipping sauce would have helped a lot. They were dry and tasteless. The atmosphere was good, but nothing fabulous. I’d go back for sure, but not make a special trip there.
The bar tender was very nice. Our order took way too long to come out, though. She apologized and bought me a beer. When the bill came I was only charged for one of my two beers, but it was charged at full price, not the advertised discounted price for when we were there. It was still cheaper than two discounted beers, so I just let it slide. There is no shortage of restaurants making great food these days, so I feel like you really need to a good job at these prices. The fish in the fish and chips consisted of 4 churched up fish sticks. They were not very good and it was not nearly as much fish as you get anywhere else you order fish and chips. The burger was overcooked and very dry. It was also hard to believe it was ever an 8 ounce patty as advertised. I don't mind paying for good food, but we left feeling that we did not get the quality or quantity we expected for the prices. The bar tender offered a reasonable explanation for why our food took so long to be prepped, so hopefully that isn't a common problem. I read some reviews that said they have a great happy hour, so it might be worth checking out for that.
