Shadowood Apartments

I have lived at this apartment complex for a couple of years now and I have to say, I absolutely LOVE the place. Not only are the rental rates affordable but the apartment itself makes you feel right at home. I have an 'upgraded' unit with pretty much everything being new and even so the rent is inexpensive. I can walk around the community at any time with my husband & 1 yr old son and I feel safe. The community as a whole has improved so much over the years. Management has recently started renovating the entire property and let me just say it looks GREAT! To conclude, this review might seem like the place is a little too good to be true, but I definitely recommend stopping by and seeing for yourself.

This is absolutely the worst apartment complex!! I am a current resident and I wish that I never moved there. Nothing gtes fixed there, but they always come up with a scheme to make you pay extra for things that are out of your control. Management sucks and the persons at the front desk are just as bad. You can actually push my wall in and feel the water that's in it! Water damage to my walls and the AC unit leaks bad as well. I would not recommend living here. I'm trying to find a legal way to get out of my lease now.

This place is worst there’s so many people that work there and sometime they get confused when we first apply for this apt they didn’t show us the apt first and see how it look like from the inside but “instead” took the appilication fee/moving fee and the apt wasn’t nice they didn’t paint it nicely feel like they’re rushing and lazy.And it took them awhile to come and fix stuff in the house and we have to come there and tell them agian. Many people that work their get confused and we already pay the rent and their is a notice that said we haven’t so I went there and told them and she found the rent money. they’re ripping off people who live there or people who doesn’t know,please keep the worker on pace they’re all over the place. And also the pool if you want to get in you have to pay $10 for the ticket and for parking ticket they charge $10 for the each and we pay $20 for the ticket . When there’s a new manager and I went to get a ticket and they didn’t charge that where I came to the point is that they’re just ripping people off .when you late to renew the lease they also charge you never thought of that. Other apt didn’t do that when people late to renew their lease.

Do yourself a favor. Don't rent this place. We applied for a two bedroom, they took our application fee, and then they never contacted us again. On the rare occasion when they were actually in their office during supposed business hours, getting any info from them was impossible. They had us running in circles just trying to figure out what apartments were available. It's a scam, save yourself the trouble.

I'm so sad that I can't even choose 0 stars for this place because it doesn't even deserve that 1. This place is terrible. My kitchen floor sank so they had to replace it, my carpet had stains and patches and I kept taking out sand and water out of the carpet cause there was a broken pipe and half of my living room was soaking wet and even so they refused to replace it. You have to go to the office at least 5 times so they get tired of you and actually send someone to fix somethinng, and when they finally do they just make it worst. I had water filtering to my kitchen every time it rained. You can't even use the laundry room cause there's always kids smoking weed in there, my neighbors smoked weed and the smell filtered to my house. And when I went to get the exact date and month in which I had to move out, after I left they charged me an extra month because they claim they messed up my lease and instead of moving out on the month they told me, I was supposed to leave the month after, even though I specifically asked "When is my lease up?" I usually don't write reviews like this because I didn't grow up in the best conditions so I don't really care for bad living for a couple of months but the experience I had in this place is at another level! I think I'd honestly rather live in a motel than in these apartments.

DO NOT rent here.. They will literally go around in circles with you applications and money orders and then they magically disappear within days of your move in date. Then they will tell you they do not have any record of you applying or reserving any apartment. Then give apartment you reserve to someone else on the spot. Trust save yourself a month of pointless time wasted you wont get an appartment. If you dont believe.. Waste your money and try. I lost 200 to them alone.

Can anybody here give me the way to talk to someone other than the people at the office. They are so rude. Someone coach me to got the apartment doesn't make me a less person. Imagine you people treating you badly because you have medicaid or wic. I work hard to pay my rent. I deserve respect. Need that attitude to be change. We are human being like the people at that office.

They response to your request to fix stuffs in your apartment really, really slow. I had to wait a whole week for them to send a guy down here and check my apartment's air-con and bathtube faucet, and by "check" I mean they just check them, and didn't do crap to fix, the guy tried to fix the faucet, but it's still leaking after he left, and when we asked him why he did not fix the air-con he told us " it's almost winter man, we don't fix it", like good god, such an appropriate reason. Recently, the faucet that dude "fixed" broke down again, I went to the office to tell them to send a maintenance guy down to fix it asap, since it's the cold water faucet and we won't be able to take a shower without it.Noone came, I even went out to find those guys, and they are lazy asses, just standing around a car playing with their phone while saying they are busy and will come to check it later. In the end, I waited until 7 pm, not a damn freaking guy show up, I had to run around my house find the tools to fix it myself. Screw these guys, I've stayed here for almost 4 years and it went from loving the place to feel like I'm stuck with it. I will move out as soon as I get a chance, worst place ever.

Wouldn't give it a single star . Everything the last lady said was the absolute truth. Give you a run around on which apartment you get , what move in dates , what prices . Then on the last second say it's not available . Place is a scam . Basically lost out on 200$ on the app fee and reservation fee . Terrible management

Been living in these apartments for a little over two years excellent management and great area to live. Right in between city and suburbs you get the best of both experiences.
