The Shamrock Club of Columbus is a Not-for-Profit Social Organization founded to organize and sponsor the annual St Patrick's Day Parade in Columbus, Ohio. The annual parade and the club has grown since it was first started in 1936.
The Shamrock Club provides members a wide range of events and activities. Many of these activities are family friendly with the playground and shelter house on the club's spacious grounds.
The Shamrock Club sponsors live Irish music in the pub, dart leagues, live entertainment and much more.
Members enjoy community events, special events, annual events, and many friendships.
The most important of these club sponsored events is the annual St. Patrick's Day celebration on March 17th (whether it is a week day or if it falls on a weekend).
The Feast of St. Patrick is celebrated each year by the Shamrock Club with a procession to Mass, Mass, Parade and the annual Irish Family Reunion.
The objectives of the Shamrock Club are to promote and encourage the awareness and appreciation of Irish Culture, History, and Traditions; provide educational and entertainment opportunities relative to Irish Culture, History, and Traditions, for our membership and community; participate in community service and charitable activities; coordinate and cooperate with other Irish organizations in an effort to unify the American-Irish voice.
