I went here with my wife a lot last year, but have been finding it harder and harder to go back. We always found that the food in-restaurant was exceptional and we would rarely order take out. However, recently they have switched to take out containers and plastic cutlery. They are free to do whatever they like, but this is a huge turn off for me. It can't help but make the restaurant experience feel cheaper when I'm struggling to cut into a nicely crisp falafel with my plastic knife and it slips and flies out of the little divider multiple times in a meal. I try and take a lot of steps in my house to reduce waste be more environmental and at this point I can't justify a trip to Shelby's. knowing the experience I'm going to have.

I was feeling lazy one night and decided to try something new. To my surprise, this was some tasty tasty food. I ordered through the app on a Tuesday and I got a discounted chicken shwarma plate. Yummy yummy yummy in my tummy. Cant wait to go back to London and order some more

Before I write anything, I just have to say that I've been trying really hard these past few months NOT to leave this review, being a long-time loyal Shelby's customer; but I've honestly reached my wit's end.
I have no idea what happened with the service here.
Especially with orders made to-go (over the phone or delivery).
1. There seems to be an issue with portion-control....if you order a Large or X-large (salad, for ex.), be prepared to be very disappointed. A Large usually looks like a small/medium; X-large looks like a medium-large. They have a problem with filling their boxes for some reason. You pay $12-$15+ for a salad, only to have it looking like a $7 salad; hardly ever filling. I even asked friends around me to affirm this, and that I wasn't crazy; they flat-out told me they wouldn't pay that kind of money for what they saw.
2. There seems to be a greater issue with focus: orders are either missing items, incomplete, or incorrect. Just now ordered a large Shelby's Salad (pita chips on the side--the only thing right with the whole order) for pick-up. I've already mentioned the portion issue above...a quarter of the box was full. There was no hummus, no garlic...I had asked for hot sauce on the side....not there.
We've spoken to them several times about our concerns.
I have no idea what's been happening; I want the old Shelby's back.
I'm honestly giving them that second star because the food is still pretty good, and not as disastrous when you eat-in.

If I was rating the food only it would be an easy 5 stars. The service is robotic and cold, a little warmth/friendliness goes a long way. The food is beyond good though...after eating there you'll probably never have a shawarma from anywhere else again

Love the Shelby's! Always amazing, and if it's not they fix it. They like to keep their customers happy. Example, onion rings shawarma wasn't up to their usual standards, so they made it right. Yasser even gave us a free Shelby's salad with chicken while we waited. We didn't expect anything we just wanted them to know what the issue was. He's always so nice 😀😀 in general.
