Asset Living managed our rental at Frank's on Shea since Jan/21 when they acquired the previous property management company. We just sold our condo so we no longer need the services of Asset Living. We wanted to thank Liz, our property manager, for the fantastic job she did looking after our rental. She did a great job taking care of any issues that arose and she was great at keeping us informed. Thank you Liz! You are a great asset at Asset Living!
Asset Living owns Lumina on 19th apartments which are poorly managed. From the time I came hoping to get a tour I should have know something was fishy. When I moved in to what they sold me as a newly renovated apartments with laminate flooring that they did not give me the key for until I gave them the money. So sight unseen I had to pay first, last, and deposit. This is my same time figuring out the security gates dont work. Once I moved in I let her know that the apartment was supposed to be laminated, the response was "who told you that" let me mind u they show you the models on website. The bathroom drawer was so worn you could stick your finger through it. The screen door was off track and never opened or closed properly, and the tub liner had been painted with house paint. I spoke with management about it they said they would send someone, I put in maintenence requests they never sent anyone, and now I am being evicted for non payment of rent regardless of Rental assistance offering the manager the full payment. They have rejected payment from the city of Phoenix to put me out. This is the worse management companybI have ever dealt with in my life.
2 months after moving out of their Ovation at Tempe complex, I have yet to receive my deposit or itemized deductions - so far they've dodged my phone calls and emails and have been wholly unable to assist. It's unclear if their behavior is malicious or gross incompetence, but I would avoid any of their properties if possible.
I live at The Century in Phoenix. Roach infested, unkept landscaping. Sprinklers wasting water. And then… Cannot trust them. Ahimy promised me one thing and when her boss asked her she claimed she had never said that. I had a perfect record and had the money to pay rent but they over charged me and I was told to let the payment return because they wouldn’t be able to refund the $160 overcharge. Jennifer is the worst. She cannot communicate effectively, lacks class, and no professionalism. She doesn’t even take the time to visit properties, if she did, our would be clean. Randall Cox, her supervisor is also a piece of work. Just another greedy, bully landlord. They have two apartments, one has been empty 2 months, the other longer. They cannot rent them because of the roaches, other pests and homeless living in our parking lot. **Update:** I have called the number. Now that we have been out of A/c for over a week they don’t answer call nor do they return them. Oh wait, that has been going on since the beginning. I even filed a complaint with the BBB and they ignored it resulting in a D- rating. They ignore he Americans withdisabilities act even with a doctors note. It’s all pretty ridiculous. Oh and the phone number hey gave me says it’s not a valid extension. Way to go asset living.
I just finished my lease with Bingham Blocks and I decided to not renew it because of how this property is maintained by Asset Living/Sheldon and because of the current owners. The property manager doesn't communicate very well with tenants and is very rude. When the apartment right next to me was being renovated I got 0 notice from the front office and when I emailed them regarding my concerns with this I got no response. When the renovation team was replacing doors and windows in our apartments they left trash outside overnight and nails and glass on the ground. These are a few of the many reasons on why I refuse to rent another apartment in a complex that is owned by this company.
I lived at indi tucson, which they own and If I could give this new management ZERO STARS I would. They do nothing but lie and lie and lie. I moved out July 31st and left my apartment clean almost brand new since I only lived there 6 months. I gave them 3 weeks at first to give me my deposit since I already knew they weren’t capable of on time deadlines. It is now 10/6/2021 and I have not received anything yet. I have called and called and no one answers, I have gone in person but the office girl Alyssa doesn’t know whether the deposit comes from Texas or Phoenix and can never tell me exactly why I don’t get my deposit.. I have called their main offices and they are the same. I will have to take them to court and i do have connections in the news station that will love to have all these new reviews as statements. I have been patient but this is going on for too long now.
This is by far the worst company I have worked for, been 4 months since I finish some projects for this company and I haven't received payment They said is net 30 but is more like net 90+
Most of the outside lights don't work... this has been the case for a couple of years now and the management knows but keeps making excuses as to why so many things here continue to go unaddressed. The head of maintenance kept lying to the office and telling them that the lights work. I had to send pictures to the office of all the lights that were out and continue to be out. I tried contacting Shelton's district manager of this region, TODD REEVES, who gave me his number to let him know of any issues here... there have been so many issues, no hot water for months, no heat during the winter, etc.. TODD has since blocked my # from calling him because he doesn't care about the ongoing issues that continue to plague this property. Any issue that arose, his response has been, "if you don't like it, move"... Calling the corporate office doesn't help as no one answers the calls or respond to messages left for them. DO NOT MOVE INTO A SHELTON OWNED PROPERTY.
