DO NOT STAY HERE. Service was non-existent. One lady at the front desk was nice. All the others had a horrible attitude. The food was even worse. My co-worker and I waited 15 minutes until we received our water. Served what seemed like microwaved frozen food There was no water inside the gym. Just an empty 5-gallon jug. I was scheduled to stay for 5 days. I ended up checking out early and walking next door to the Holiday Inn. Never again will I stay here. The only thing good here was the cookie.
The location of the hotel is decent - though it felt a bit isolated with limited dining options nearby, it is conveniently close to the airport and just 15 minutes by taxi from the Newark PATH train station. The PATH offers a direct connection to the World Trade Center station in New York, taking approximately 40 minutes. The hotel has a restaurant with great staff working there - approachable and friendly. The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and very tasty. I personally recommend the Buffalo chicken wings and the Boom Boom shrimp. The check-in process was a bit problematic. Although I checked in at the reception desk, there seemed to be an issue, as my reservation didn’t appear in the hotel’s system when I tried to charge a restaurant bill to my room. There is an option to check in using the Hilton app, but I didn’t try it this time - something I’ll consider for the future. The room itself was clean and spacious, with a large, comfortable bed. However, when I booked the room, I selected the “New York City skyline view” option, and while I did have a view of the sky, it was more of Newark than New York. Additionally, much of the view was on railway tracks. My expectations were a bit different. Overall, the stay was good, and I plan to return here in the future.
Good service and clean rooms. Good location close to the airport. I did not like that the TV was mounted on the wall and I was unable to hook up my PS4 to the back. They charge $25 a day/night for parking. Breakfast buffet was over priced $23 even with the $15 credit per day as the breakfast selection was no better than the free breakfast at any other Hilton hotel.
For the price, it could be maintained a little better, but overall, it was clean and comfortable. We checked in at night and out early morning and both staff members were very friendly and helpful. Lots of outlets if they work. Loved that the toiletries were below my eyes since I have gotten hit in the face with shampoo. Love the amount of towel racks or hangers. There could be a 2nd handrail to get in and out of the tub. They give a treat at check-in, too.
Overall my stay was great! The room was clean and service desk reps were very polite. The only issue I had was the parking situation. The parking lot was waaay over crowded. There were cars parked everywhere and not just in parking spots, this left very little room in some areas making it very tight or not possible to get through in an average size car. Two out of the three nights I stayed I had to leave and come back hoping to find somewhere to park.
I wish I was leaving a nicer review but here it goes. My husband and I made a reservation to stay at this hotel for the two days we were going to be in NJ for a friend's wedding. We made the reservation 2-3 days prior to our stay via a third party app. We had an early flight and arrived at about 9am, to which we were told we had to wait because check-in wasn't until 3 or 4pm, which was understandable. After about 3 hours, our friend came to meet us at the hotel since him and my husband needed to run some errands and my husband goes to the front desk to see if there was anything that could be done about getting a room sooner, especially since it was a little after check out and there may have been some rooms available. I'm standing on the side of the front desk with our friend talking, while my husband is speaking to the woman at the front and I hear her say that there aren't any rooms available. I try to give people the benefit of the doubt but there was something off about that. I stepped in and asked what was going on and again she mentioned that there were no rooms available. I was truly dumbfounded and my face said it all. We had so much on our minds and so much to do, we just ended up leaving and didn't end up speaking to a manager. Now fast forward almost 2 weeks later and we're still trying to work out a dispute to get our money back with our third party booker. Now the reps on our case are stating that the staff at the hotel are telling them that on that day they were never sold out of rooms and then a lie about how we booked the reservation the same day as the stay. It's absolutely disgusting the treatment and the lies that are being told and the fact that they are not releasing our money to us. My husband and I have called over and over again, have spoken to about 3-4 different managers and have gotten nowhere with these people. My only regret was not speaking with a manager at the same moment we were told that there were no rooms available. Never again!
Went for a personal growth and development training course. The was a nice swimming pool. The business computer and hang out section was beautiful. The room was average size, with 2 full size bed, it would have been more comfortable with 2 queens size beds for 2 person share bed. The service was excellent overall. Great for business functions.
Lodged here because United Airlines cancelled my flight. The staff was accommodating and found me a room that I could immediately check in even early in dawn. The restaurant staffs were also very friendly. The shuttle from Newark came in about 30 minutes in a shoddy van that had duct tapes on seats, which was eyebrow raising for a 4 star hotel. The lobby and pool interior design is modern, which I really liked from the photos. However, the overall rooms and hallways need retouching. Paints and surfaces are debilitated. Towels feel very rough and dry. With these additional little improvements, the place could be a really appealing option. Rooms: Spacious but needs renovation
AC wasn't working in the room. Maintenance was sent to try to fix it and blew dust all over the room and bed. I spoke with the manager who was very nice and I was given a new room. The rooms are dated and it's obvious that maintenance and cleanliness are not priorities of the owners of this hotel! I paid $265.00 total with tax for a nights sleep in this dump. I asked for a partial refund, but since I booked the room through American Airlines Hotels instead of Hilton, the manager said she was unable to offer a partial refund.
I was at this hotel for a business event. So I didn’t stay in the rooms, but the conference room was very nice. The chairs were comfortable they supplied water. The café made a great latte. The food looked good, even though I didn’t have any.Location: 2/5
