I found the shop easily thanks to a big sign out front and got a pair of dress shoes with a medium scuff in them repaired and shined up super fast. I had a nice conversation with the gentleman and he gave me some tips and answered some questions I had about maintaining leather shoes. The price was very reasonable especially considering the speed and quality with which the work was done. They also have a great inventory of laces, insoles and polishes. I'll be back in a couple months, or the next time I have some damaged shoes.
Great place for getting your shoes repaired. The owner is friendly and knowable of the cobbler business. He is also approved to install prosthetic shoe lifts with a valid prescription. His prices are responsible, but only accepts cash or checks. No credit or debit cards accepted. I will have him install a prosthetic lift when I get a new pair of work shoes. That's how confident I am of his work.
I love this place! The owner is very nice, the prices seem fair, and his work is fantastic as well as timely. I've never had a problem or regret in taking my shoes in to him for repairs and/or new soles and heels. I love bringing my business to this small, "mom & pop" company! One thing to note: payment must be cash or check. No credit or debit card transactions.
Daniel was super friendly & they did a great job on my boots. Also done in 2 days which is unbelieveble considering i was getting quoted 2 to 3 weeks at other conblers. Definitely would recommend.
Fantastic, fast service. I took a pair of cowboy boots in, on which the heels had worn down. I dropped them off at 5PM just as he was closing, and he had them finished by 1pm the next day. They were even polished and looking better than when I took them in! Highly recommend this place. I wish all businesses were as prompt, and friendly, and had pride and integrity in their work as this place does.
I dropped off a high-quality Italian leather backpack/bag for repair. The inside lining needed to be opened in order to do the repair properly, which they did. The price was extremely reasonable and my bag is perfect again. They even cleaned the leather! WOW
Great work! Always been good here. Brought in a brutalized pair of work boots, and they got the peeling soles back together and rebuilt some of the eyelets I had torn out. $20 is so much better than dropping $250 on a pair of new boots.
Recommended by a friend, I brought two of my husband's really nice leather shoes in for a leather sole replacement. Rather than taking the time to remove the old soles and re-sew new ones on, as had been done in the past, some cheap leather was GLUED to the bottom, over the stitching!!!!!!! I have no idea if the fix is fixable, but if not, then Shoes On The Run just ruined about $500 pairs of shoes!!!!!!
Brought in a pair of old, much-loved oxford shoes to be re-soled. The man behind the counter was friendly, and said that he could have them done by tomorrow morning. I showed up the next morning, and they were oiled, polished, and fully re-soled. The new soles are sturdy, if not terribly-expensive-looking, and just like that, my shoes have been given a second lease on life. For the price 55 dollars for the re-sole job, extremely fast and quality service. Only complaint: it's cash only, and there's no ATM on-site. In the age of SquareUp and Paypal offering free smartphone credit card readers, there really isn't a reason not to accept credit cards.
My favorite pair of heals were worn to the nail. I googled shoe repair all over the city. When I called Shoe's on the Run they said they could fix my shoes while I wait, but they close at 5. I arrived at 4:35 and they were done by 4:40! They rehealed them, reblacked any scratches, and buffed and shined them for $10! Wow! I brought 4 more pairs of shoes to drop off today. Remember to bring cash or check or you'll have to use the ATM a block away. I highly recommend!
