Silvernail Car Care

I have been going to Silvernail Car Care for a number of years after searching for a business that was thorough, reliable, and did not take advantage of a customer by recommending servicing that was not needed. I found it with Silvernail Car Care and their entire helpful staff!

Was going in and out for a quick state inspection which only takes a minute. But I stopped here and was told it would be a 30 minute wait. No big deal. But an 45 minutes passed and nothing had happened yet. Finally they pulled my car in behind another that was being worked on and did the inspection. Sadly, this means they could have done this the whole time and saved me some time.

Beware of the mechanic at the front desk.The dude uses all sorts of false statements to up sell. I was there twice not for service but for emissions testing. Here are some of the things I observed. 1) After my vehicle emission testing he tried selling me the purchase of registration because there is a service charge of $10 if I go through DMV. I just checked and they don't charge anything extra. (2) The same dude was talking to lady who has Toyota Sienna and he was telling her that she should get power staring fluid change after every 40K miles. I also have Toyota Sienna and Toyota does not have ANY regular maintenance fluid change interval for power steering fluid. The dude sounds very shady so beware of him (3) For the vehicle inspection the mechanic took a sensor that was installed in OBDII to attach his computer OBDII for inspection. He never told me he took mine off and did not have the courtesy to put mine back in. For some people these might be no big deal but these are the small red signs I typically see in a establishment to judge if I can try them with my car

I've only gotten my emissions taken care of here but they are prompt and courteous.
