Simin Corture

This is for every persian girl in LA who has heard of Simin's reputation. Please listen to us and the yelp reviews. I didn't listen because of her "good" reputation - that she has somehow developed in our small community - but I should have. Listen to the yelp reviews! I usually do, but this time I ignored them. Biggest mistake ever! It really seriously pains me to write this review, but it had to be done. Simin & her team ruined my wedding gown. Hired them for alterations. Truly the most unprofessional/messiest work ever - oh and I paid them $1,000 for it & have now taken it to another seamstress and am spending another $600 to repair the dress. Just praying that it comes out okay. My wedding is still a month away, so I'm not going to be posting a picture of my whole dress, but will post some photos of the messy work. Among the things that went wrong: 1. Said she would do things - but wouldn't - this happened multiple times (my mom will be writing another review regarding her gown - same shoddddy work & did maybe 20% of the things they said they would). 2. Her workers created a mesh back for my dress (Simin obviously doesn't do anything herself) - came out looking so loose and she kept trying to convince me and my mom that that was the best that could be done with the dress. 3. The hem of my gown is just heartbreaking - herself & two others who work for her cut the hem while the gown was still on me. I thought that was veryyy bizarre because I could tell it was very messy work. She said that they would clean it up after. They didn't. The bottom of my dress is all jagged and ruined and will need to be cut even shorter to fix it. 4. Stray string and bits from the lace on my dress were not cleaned or cut off - easy work, but not done for some odd reason (oh yeah, they don't care to please their clients). 5. Straps were unevenly cut - again jagged and crooked like the hem. 6. The bustle area just looks bizarre - when my gown isn't bustled, it is no longer smooth, but is bumpy and looks weird. 7. To make up for the poor work, just kept saying that the dress was poorly made and at each meeting (i went there on at least 6-7 occasions) would say that i kept losing weight (i definitely know that i haven't) - trying to fool or "khar" my mom & I into thinking that nothing could be done. Honestly, these are just the things we spotted, g-d knows what else we haven't spotted yet. Worst part is, she does not care about customer service. I thought for sure we can at least get some of our money back for having to now take my gown to another seamstress to repair the gown. We showed her all the pics - the damage is undeniable - but nope. She didn't care one bit. That is truly the worst part. Does not care to at least repair the mistakes her and her team has made or to even acknowledge the truly terrible work. For her, she got the money and can run now. Who cares if we come back, she got what she needed. Simin, have a heart.

Simin truly made my dream dress come to life! She has a q unique vision for each of her custom designed gowns. I highly recommend Simin Couture.
