Simply Southern

My family and I went there on Mother's Day this year. It was a last minute decision, and we almost stopped off for pizza on the way. Fortune favored us as we arrived. Food was great, the flavored teas were great, and the server was friendly. The cook (the owner's mother) came out to greet and talk to people, and the owner also was out to talk, greet and make sure you are being taken care of. We will definitely be back!

fried chicken was nice and crispy! their table corn bread was also good as homemade although collard green doesn't have much flavor and yellow rice was soggy that I couldn't eat them at all. I eat seafood and any kind of spice or herb regularly but their crab cake has wired taste, maybe the one we got was not fresh.

... nicely developed flavors in this spot. I'll be back... and try to control myself... omg. from the oxtails to the collards to the mashed sweet potatoes... and ending on peaches and waffles... ah! very good!

Amazing, authentic, southern cuisine. Quite frankly, nothing else taste better. The chicken and waffles were delicious and the dessert was honestly, to die for. Great job Simply Southern!

The first restaurant I visit whenever I'm in Belmar. Southern cooking at it's finest. The gracious owners always make sure you feel right at home. Make sure you get the oxtails and the fried chicken! Awesome!!
