MaMa's Southern Style BBQ II

I have been coming to Mama's for years. I relocated and haven't had the food in awhile. I was recently in town and pleased to see they were still in business. I ordered fried whiting fish with collard greens, macaroni n cheese and corn bread. The food was delicious and seasoned perfectly.There was a 20 minute wait for the fish to be cooked but that's alright with me. I like my food prepared fresh. Like they have posted "this isn't a fast food restaurant". Also, in the past I've had fried shrimp, chicken, potato salad, candid yams and desserts which were good. Thank you Mama and staff for continued great service. Looking forward to visiting the new location.

Food was definitely amazing. Anyplace that can make beef juicy and tender is a win in my book. Mac & Cheese was perfect, greens were on point and the yams were spot on. Oh and let me not forget the cornbread, well worth the additional calories I will have to burn. Exceptional chest day meal. Glad I found them. Oh & the service was great, thx u!!

I don’t write reviews but I had to say something about this place... let’s start off by saying that the food is amazing... great taste and hefty portions so you are getting the most for what you pay... the people who work there are really nice and greet you at the door... it’s a family owned business and you feel the love when you taste their food... don’t go anywhere else for southern food on this side of Jersey, this is the only place you should go!!!!

Ordered oxtail in gravy, potato salad & collard greens to go. The oxtails were tender and very well seasoned. The potato salad was excellent-traditional southern recipe. The collards were good, but a little dry. I like that it was packed so that the gravy from the oxtail didnt run into the side dishes. Call ahead if you dont have time to wait because they are pretty busy.

This was my 1st time and i was not disappointed food was delivered hot potato salad excellent wings good greens weren't great but ok turkey wings real good wish there was a little juice or gravy but well seasoned i will be ordering from you again. GOOD HOME STYLE FOOD AND CAKE SUPER GOOD DIDN'T PAY EXTRA FOR CORNBREAD 50$ FOR WINGS AND TURKEY WINGS THEY REALLY SHOULD GIVE A PIECE OF CORNBREAD WITH DINNER!!!
