Sitar Indian Cuisine

We were passing through Tuscaloosa and came across this Indian restaurant which already had many great reviews. We entered the restaurant and were greeted by a nostalgic scent of the motherland. At this very point, we were certain of its authenticity. They had a lunch buffet set up during the time and after reviewing the menu, we decided to go with the buffet deal. The buffet was roughly $12 after tax. At first glance, the buffet items looked kind of dingy and uninteresting, but once we began to fill our plates, we realized the freshness of the entrees. We dug in and our taste buds were taken on a roller coaster of flavors. They even conveniently had sectioned off a spread of veggie only dishes for those who don't eat meat. After cleaning out plates and going for seconds, we treated ourselves to pudding desert and chai (tea). We wrapped up with our dad bods full and left satisfied. Definitely recommend if you want to try something new.

Disgusting food, high priced for no reason, worst 37$ I ever spent on dining out. Too bad can't give no star, be low 1 star.

This is our favorite restaurant in Tuscaloosa. We make sure to eat here at least once a month. The food is delicious and the service is one of the best out of my experience with numerous restaurants around the world. Highly recommended. Try the lamb dishes and the Chana masala. For dessert try the sweet mango thing.

Very attentive waiters as they make sure to get what you want! The tables aren't the best so I am counting points off of that. The chairs weren't really that comfortable, but it is alright. The amount of food you get from here is about just right if you're a curry lover. I order some chicken soup which is by the way; It was delicious! You make sure you have enough rice for all the curry you have ordered. A huge amount of bread of three different varieties if you get the student tray - This is only for students. Eat nine times for lunch all you can eat. Have your tenth buffet free! The buffet wasn't that much of a variety. It wasn't what you expected it to be. The atmosphere is definitely nice! Two TV to watch your shows on there especially sports!
