I had a great experience moving here. Working with Nina was wonderful. She was always quick to respond by phone and email and even though I'd already signed a lease, she was happy to switch me to a different unit with a better floor plan that opened up at the last minute. Thank you Nina! The apartment was super clean and in immaculate condition when I moved in. My moving bill came in lower than estimated because I could reserve the large elevator, which makes the move go much more quickly. The views are amazing!
Recently moved out after two years at this building and would recommend to anyone, pros: 1. Convenient location with great views, amenities are nice and well kept. 2. Easy to communicate and work with the management office. 3. With the exception of the occasional homeless camping out in front of the entrance, which is not surprising for the area, the building is secure. 4. Unlike a lot of buildings, Skyhouse does not tack on excess fees such as package holding charges. The only con I can say is with the exception of Jade who is amazing, some of the concierges seemed more preoccupied with their phone rather than being available to assist residents and maintain a presence in the common areas. The concierge is a great amenity of the building and the only item I would recommend improvement.
I moved to Denver without knowing a single person and getting my apartment at Skyhouse without ever seeing it as I didn’t have time to take a trip out. Skyhouse has far surpassed my expectations on every level. As with every apartment complex, there is bound to be issues from time to time; Skyhouse truly does take complaints seriously and works to resolve them. The office team is one of the best teams I have ever worked with while renting. I never feel like I’m and inconvenience, and they always have a smile on their face. Nina in the office is quite possible one of the kindest, and coolest people ever. I have a bad habit of loosing my keys due to traveling for work and every time I come in we both laugh and talk like we’ve known each other for years. I highly recommend this apartment not only for the staff and amenities, but the apartments and location are unbeatable in the area.
I really enjoyed living here. The apartment units and views are incredible. The floor-to-ceiling windows are awesome and they have the best skyline views in Uptown. You'll love the concrete ceilings. Oh and the floors look real sleek when clean. The kitchen fixtures - okay those are pretty cheap - but hey, they *look* nicer than they really are and that makes up for it in my book. The amenities are hit or miss. The pool deck and outdoor spaces are sweet, truly irreplaceable on the 25th floor. Free coffee is the best apartment amenity there is and most days, they've got it! But if the other amenities are important to you, take note of what looks like it's actually working when you tour the place. I've been here for two years and none of the cozy looking fireplaces you might see in the photos have ever worked. The TVs on the rooftop deck work maybe half the time. The sound works three quarters of those times. At least one of the ones in the photos on the website is just gone entirely. And man, would it really break Equity Residential to toss a grill brush up by the grills in the summer? The TVs in lobby also haven't worked in weeks. Sure nobody really spends much time in the lobby. Heck, the night concierges are probably more upset about that particular item than I am. But when the first you see every evening when you walk home is this living room designed lobby -- centered around a fireplace that maybe never worked and TVs that don't anymore -- it's hard to not wonder what's going on. Back to the cool stuff though, those concierges I mentioned? They're the best. Leave your fob in the apartment? Hey no problem, they can get you back up in no time. Secure package delivery to the front desk as well. Choice Market on the first floor is great for quick food maybe walk the extra block to 7-Eleven for beer, that particular item is a whole lot cheaper there. Speaking of saving a buck, parking is something like $150/mo here. But if you know the neighborhood well enough and don't mind walking a bit you can manage free street parking in Uptown if you leave your house once every day or two. It's free two hour parking on most streets though the city is awful at enforcing time limits. There's a handful of blocks you can actually park all day, meters on Sherman turn off on weekends, etc etc. The reason I mention it is, if you end up at any apartment building farther downtown, they've pretty much got ya on the hook for parking. Can charge whatever. My 4 stars kinda comes down to, look, there's a lot of truly great stuff here. But they're trying to push "trophy" level rents at what's a six or seven year old, A- building. And that's in a neighborhood that's going to have a lot nicer, newer apartment buildings popping up in a couple of years. When my last renewal offer came, with a hefty bump in rent, I looked around and decided it wasn't worth it to me anymore. Maybe it will be for you. If so, enjoy the view! I'll certainly miss it.
I applied at house back in July 2022, I was ready to move in. I loved the building and told multiple family members I was moving there. one of my family members walked in for a tour and left his phone in the bathroom. He went back in after a resident and his phone was gone. The resident had stolen the phone and took it back to his apartment. they looked at the cameras and saw this happen, I was so upset when I heard the story, I decided not to proceed with moving in. Based on the people who live there and the lack of accountability from the leasing office. they also refused to give me back my $200 security deposit! Unbelievable.
They promote amenities like coffee but NEVER have coffee in stock. 5/7 days a week the coffee machine is ‘out of service’ meaning they don’t have any more beans. They continue to reduce the hours you can use it, and yet it is still ‘Out of service’ 90% of the time. Amazing they even advertise it anymore.
Units are great, roof tops are cool, elevators are decent for 25 stories and really only give you trouble a few times a month. The downside is I didn’t have water for 3 days, the hallways always smell like sewage, homeless chills outside asking for money every day, garage parking is separate from the building but still costs over 200, people blast terrible music at the pool, concierge takes too many smoke breaks, and the leasing office doesn’t provide resident events.
Working with Nina Curro was truly exceptional. As a new Colorado transplant, I had lots of questions. Nina’s openness, knowledgeability, and consistent consideration of others made me confident that I was making the right decision. Whether through text, call, or email- Nina’s responsiveness is second to none. This is an awesome team, with some remarkable star players.
We are new residents at SkyHouse and our experience couldn’t have been any better. The leasing team have been amazing and really helpful and communicated exceptionally well with us, especially under our circumstances of moving mostly from out of state and having all sorts of unexpected issues to deal with. We are extremely pleased with everything so far. We moved in to a bright, clean unit, it’s very quiet and comfortable. The location really can’t be beat. We feel confident we’ve made the right decision to call SkyHouse our new home.
My husband and I love living here. I work from home and the view downtown couldn't get much better. He works in the DTC and the commute down Broadway through 25 isn't horrible. Love the coffee machine, 25th floor pool/community space, tall ceilings, floor to ceiling windows, open floor plan, great gym, lots of storage in every apartment, decent building security, a balcony with every apartment, elevators don't bother me since I don't have to use them during commute hours, also since new management took over the sewer smell in the lobby has been absent at least the past month. Now for the complaints: zero guest parking- we live downtown and we have a massive parking structure that's not fully occupied yet no complimentary parking for guests. Couldn't we make some of these parking spots available for visitors by confirmed resident validation? Please? Currently visitors have to pay $20 to park in our structure. Also, while there have been upgrades 1 year old gym floors being replaced under old management and elevator lobbies on each floor being converted from carpet to "hardwood" 2 years in they seem frivolous when 9/10 community TVs don't work. Can we please fix these and fasten the remotes to the wall so these continue to work? Overall we love it here, the pros much outweigh the cons, we're on our second lease and hope we don't need to leave come the third!
