Sleepy's Po-Boys

Generous portions and the food was delicious!! Overall good service but they needed more staffing. People were waiting quite a while for orders they called in. Despite that, we will still return. The prices are reasonable too!Food: 5/5

My catfish was delicious and they give you a lot. My fish was fried just right to my liking--a little extra crispy. Come by-- I think you'll like it. Go to their website and check them out.

The Boudain Balls are absolutely the BEST EVER. The shrimp & fish were both very good. The Onions Rjngs were delicious. The egg rolls were good as well. We ordered ahead of time so our wait was short. We would try it again..

Was craving a good sandwich and at first the HUBBIE and myself went into Subway to grab a sandwich for lunch but quickly retreated when the employee was not wearing a mask and the customers were. No thanks. We decided to go into this cafe for a poboy however, I was not wanting a poboy. Anyhoo we went to Sleepys for a quick lunch. This is a Louisiana style cafe eatery with poboys, tenders, etc. They also serve HUGE pieces of cake which I regret we did not try. I ordered the grilled chicken poboy and the HUBBIE ordered a shrimp poboy, these poboys are huge and the French fry portion is a good amount. There had to be a entire chicken breast on my poboy and the HUBBIE had so many nice size shrimp on his poboy. Neither myself nor HUBBIE could eat the entire sandwich . Needless to say this was lunch and dinner. Oh yea the taste was delicious seasoned just right. Try em out. The staff are courteous ppl. Dine in or carry out.

I have been coming here for a while on and off. I would definitely call this Comfort Food. I have had the fish and shrimp. I have had the philly cheese steak when I say I was full the rest of the day. In house drinks are super sweet and delicious. The lady's get a little overwhelmed because some people are rude. Other then that they are polite and work quickly as possible. All in all they get 5 from me always. Love the food!

Cajun Approved! The bread tastes like love from the bayou! Not to mention the Po-boy overall is constructed to perfection. They don’t skimp out on shrimp like some places. Their fries are seasoned as well. But the best part is the sweet tea. I’m drooling just typing this review.

The customer service is horrible. I found this place online and wanted to try it out. I walked in and was NOT greeted. The worker was literally standing at the counter near the cups ON THE PHONE having a personal conversation! I stood at the counter for 5 minutes before she asked if i needed help. This is crazy! and she sees me at the counter. I placed my order over the phone. when she finally greets me i tell her i’m picking up and she doesn’t even have my order down. Now i have to wait. she told me 15 mins for my order and i came to the restaurant 20 mins after placing my order..I almost left but i wanted to try the food. Why are you on the phone having a personal conversation with a customer STANDING IN FRONT the register.

I love the food but, I was turned off by the front counter person, bad attitude, inconsiderate of others, change in food taste. I did a telephone order earlier that day got in to the restaurant, Meme, has a funky attitude, didn't even take my order down correctly. The cashierMeme was not wearing hair nets and scratching her head. The food taste better through the week with better service. Don't cook with a bad attitude it changes the taste of the food. I met Sleepy about two weeks ago when he was meeting a guy about some signs saying hiring, outstanding person. Well, the week end crew is a bust. My daughter went in after me and had a bad vide as well, her words. Meme was in the back the lady cook brought the food out.

Literally the best food I’ve eaten since moving to Houston almost 2 years ago. I had them for the first time this past Thursday and went back Friday and Saturday because they were just that good. I was most definitely disappointed to find out that they were closed on Sunday or I would’ve eaten there again. The food is amazing in the staff are friendly, highly recommend

Shrimp poboy was decent, fries were eh. The shrimp was fried perfectly and the bread and lettuce were fresh but everything else was just eh.
