The service is a scam. My 10 month treatment plan has turned into 36 months and my teeth look terrible. The customer service is slow to respond and has been making empty promises. I wish I hadn’t cheaped out and had just gone through an orthodontist. Buy with caution. I’m out $2,500 and my teeth look just as bad as when I started. See my photo for proof.
I had an amazing visit with my SmileGuide Maliya, she was very helpful and explained everything in detail. She even made sure that I got my parking ticket validated so I could park for free. Thank you Smile Direct Club and thank you Maliya!
This company is nothing more then a organized fraud. If you have money that is not needed you can achieve a lot by donating to a cause. If you really wants to get your teeth fix go to a actual dentist. This company is a Frud. 1 You go and pay full amount up- front by talking with a 3D scanning technician “not a dentist”. 2 Good luck getting your money back if you don't like it. 3 Worse, spend months of stress of carrying tooth brush everywhere and brushing after every meal and wear that plastic everywhere you go, and it never gives you the result they promise. Worse for me, after 18 months of stressful wearing aligners -originally only planned for 6 months, I have to give it up, because it wasn’t working. My account manager at the time tried to comfort me and help me to get to my goal but just it didn’t work so I closed the case and request for refund - got roughly $200 out of $1800 and 18 months of my time and stress, and misalignment of my tooth’s. I had no choice, so just let it go. Deal with my account manager at the time was that I will get two free retainers and I can buy more as I needed. Understand now my teeth’s are not on their original position and not where wanted them to be either, but I do not want them to just shift anywhere so I wanted to just keep wearing retainers and move on. I called them roughly after a year to order more retainers, but they say since my account was closed I cannot even order the retainers. They took my $1800, wasted my 18 months of time. My tooth’s are not positioned correctly. To avoid random movement of my tooth, I cannot get retainers. Well hope nobody have to go through what I did. If you even have a thought of getting this service, run away as fast as you can. Pay few extra $ to an actual doctor. This company will not get to any where.
Maliya was real dope. Very professional. Informed me of everything I was going to have to do, including pay and the structure of the program. She also was very nice to my son while working with me and even let him give her a big hug. She is a dope representative to have. Don't lose her!
The staff is extremely friendly, like “Good Place” level friendly. However, this is all done seemingly to whip you up into an excited frenzy and agree to preauthorization to your credit card info for aligners. I thought the staff was so nice and then she explained the process really quickly, did my scans, and then had me sign some papers. Two days later I have a $250 charge on my credit card. I called customer service and they were very kind and told me they would pause my account and give me a refund in 6-10 business days so hopefully that comes to fruition. But after looking online at reviews not only on Google but Reddit and other forums, I do not want to venture into what people are calling the scam of SmileDirectClub. I don’t think this is the fault of the workers at the brick and mortar stores, but rather the whole structure of the company is flawed. Please do your research before going to SDC, especially if you are like me read ADHD and black out in these types of situations.
Maliya is great, so friendly, very up front about how the program works. She took her time in explaining the proram to me. Took less than 30 minutes to do in person. I highly recommend the in person experience
It was great! I recommend anyone going to get some dental work done to go and check them out. The staff were actual customers who are living proof.
I had a FANTASTIC experience as a first time customer here yesterday with Heather. Heather was so wonderful and we had such a pleasant time together laughing and talking as if we have known each other for years. She went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and had all of my questions answered. She was personable, professional, and very thorough with explaining everything to me on what to expect and the next steps. I feel extremely confident moving forward with Smile Direct Club and purchasing my aligners as all my concerns were eased after talking them through with Heather. I am SO excited to see my end result and my new smile! I cannot thank Heather enough for all her help yesterday and the 5 star customer service I was provided. Thanks so much!
Keondra was nice, professional and informative. Looking forward to my best smile! Edit: One year later and worth every penny! I would suggest the overnight plan because I didn’t always put them back in after eating during the day.
I’m not really sure what’s going on with my treatment plan because I have yet too hear from a dentist and there is no way for you to contact your prescribed dentist which is starting to get really irritating,every time I have called the number linked to the Columbus location to talk about my concerns the people that answer sound like English is not their first language and do not help at all they do not understand or answer the questions I have.I would love to schedule an appointment to figure this out but online it only says the appointments are for your smile journey to start.I have been wearing these aligners day and night since I got them and yeah sure they straightened my teeth a little bit but the gaps that were my concern from the start feel as if they have not moved at all and there’s a tooth that’s turned a bit on my bottom teeth that has yet to turn,All the information I know is when to change them and that treatment is done in October.so if someone who speaks English and can answer my questions would contact me or if I can get an appointment that would be great.thanks
