Wonderful service and great covid protocols. Had the jamaican, maple wings and hands down the best things I've had in a long time. The sauce and dry rub combo was perfection and the wings were crispy. I also got the chicken Caesar wrap and it was grilled chicken and you could smell and taste the grill on it. Great down to earth pub!
This awesome bar + food spot has got a great "home town" feel. Local family owned, super friendly and amazing staff!!! Lots of great draught beer choices--I usually go with a local IPA. Atmosphere is comfortable and features local and regional sports pictures and memorabilia. Excellent spot if you're looking for a break from the craziness of downtown.
Last couple of times I visited here, the food was not that great. I was also disappointed both times recently I got a cheeseburger plate / fries or o-rings served on a tiny plate not much bigger than tea cup saucer. I thought maybe they ran out of clean dishes but my dinner guest both times had other choices and were served on much bigger plates. Having a handful of fries dropping off on to the table is a problem for my taste.
Terrible food. And beer is disgusting on draft. Clean the taps. Put pride in your food. Microwave slice of bacon on top of a giant jalapeño. Really. Terrible service. 4 people in the place and the bartender forgot to send through our wing order. Much better places in Burlington worth driving the 10 minutes. Nothing is good on north ave.
I had a nice time here recently, was visiting from Canada with my mom. Great food and drink specials on local craft beers. Service was good too. People were friendly and easy to talk to and they even appreciated my Blue Jays tee shirt. If I’m back in Burlington, I’ll call in again.
If you are in area this is an excellent place to stop. We only had apps and beer but the mozzarella sticks were excellent and the fried pickles spears, not chips were the best I've had. They hand bread the pickles with a beer batter and I highly recommend.
I was satisfied with the food. Ordered a rodeo burger and it was good. Unfortunately the 40 minute wait time left a bad taste. Ate my burger in about 10 mins and waited another 10 after that for service. No service so had to ask for the check myself. Food was satisfying but this is my second time here and unfortunately it was de ja vue of why I hadn't come here in a year.
9/15/19 Just finished hiking the 2,670 miles of the Pacific Crest Trail I kind of look like I could be homeless living in the woods for 5 months and all and flew into Burlington from Vancouver, BC to hike the Long trial. I stopped here to watch a football game, eat some wings and have a beer. I'm HUNGRY, from living in the woods and all. The bar tender took one look at me and made up his mind about me. He essentially would not serve me. "Can I have a beer please?" Nothing... "Can I see a menu please?" A head nod and yet no menu. I finally recieved one after asking several times. I waited for 45 minutes to place an order. "Are you sure you want to order this, it is not on special?" Insinuating I could not afford it. Meanwhile he is serving everyone around me with great enthusiasm. I left. I know I look disheveled but this is not how you treat people and this is not a great way to represent a business. Shame on you for judging me.
It was my first visit, myself with 4 adults 2 kids. Our server was training, and the trainee was fantastic! However, the server gave us quite a bit of attitude about our request to split the check. Is that a Vermont thing, no split checks? We are from out of state. All 5 adults at our table have spent many years each as servers, so we were surprised and put off a bit. Great fish tacos though..
Not the best place. Bartender wasn't friendly. Food was cold. Drink specials for the night we're billed at regular price and we were ignored when we asked about it. We visited about 6 years so, and it was not an impressive experience. We decided to give it another shot and unfortunately not much has changed.
