After walking in Williamsburg, we found this little hole in the wall. I felt like Pho, so we wandered in. Ordered Pho with grilled chicken, General Tso's, and spring rolls with pork and shrimp. I really enjoyed the food and would go back. The downside was the utensils...not really enjoy eating with plastic fork and spoon for a sit down. The pho was hot, like I like it. The spring rolls were hot...and had a pickle salad, which was a very nice and tasty surprise.
Pho broth actually had flavor, which is surprisingly difficult to find in NY. Generous portion size.Recommended dishesChicken Pho
I had a good experience here, the staff was nice and the food came out quickly. Now im not sure if this was just today, but the pho broth was the worst ive ever had in my life. it tasted like someone had boiled discarded cuts of meat to make it. There was no taste of any aromatics, and there was almost zero oil. The menu does not focus on pho so I can see why it might not be the best but something must be done about the broth.
Kind of a hole in the wall place -- hard to even see the sign / name of the restaurant from the outside. Don't blink or you'll miss it! Food was very good though. I ordered a classic bahn mi sandwich which was very tasty. Only $9 for the sandwhich as well which was pretty sizeable. Only complaint was that I did order the sandwhich "spicy," and I did not find it to be spicy at all. As far as I could tell the only thing making it the "spicy" variety were some de-veined and de-seeded serrano pepper pieces. Even as a white guy from Wisconsin I didn't think it had much heat... Even so, the sandwich was great and I wolfed it down eagerly :D I recommend giving them a shot for a great Vietnamese sandwich!
MySon ordered us Mother’s Day Dinner delivered to us . Food was great, it arrived in a timely fashion and the soup was still very hot. Must try the chicken shrimp rice... Thankful my son, who lives in Texas hooked us up.
The curry chicken and the pho is amazing! I loved the service and the atmosphere of this restaurant. I can't wait for my next visit!
I wish I had taken a photo before devouring my meal but this place vitamese beef pad thai is TO DIE FOR! I stumbled randomly into this store feeling hungry and good thing this place accepts Apple Pay! Makes getting this food much easier but the sauces they give for the pad thai are top ten, make sure to get it with beef and eat it at domino park which is a ten min walk from the place that way you have a nice setting to enjoy a nice filling meal of authentic pad thai:
Decent food but unfortunately my sister and I got food poisoning from here….
To be fair, it is also my own fault for going to a Vietnamese place and ordering Chinese food—but if the Chinese food is bad then they shouldn’t put it on the menu. I did check out their menu with the intention of ordering pho, but got distracted by chow fun and general tso’s chicken. The food gave me flashbacks of living in Geneva, Switzerland, where Chinese food is pretty bad and usually too salty. The noodles were way too salty, and the chicken wings were dry. The general’s tso’s chicken was more like sweet and sour chicken. My husband liked the egg rolls though. Maybe we will go and try their pho and update our review accordingly, but in the meantime I would suggest avoiding the Chinese items.
Was just expecting good food but this place more than exceeded my expectations! Best Vietnamese food I've had in NYC so far. Delicious curry chicken and fresh, crisp spring rolls, a hidden gem!
