Dr Balzora and her team are exceptional. I had to do an endoscopy and a colonoscopy and she went out of her way to help by accommodating our schedule. The procedure went very well and smoothly, the best experience that I have had and I recovered very rapidly. Her team of doctors and nurses are very professional and took the trouble to answer our questions and concerns even during the weekend, as the procedure was scheduled Monday morning. I’m extremely grateful and highly recommend Dr Balzora.
The first time I met Dr balzora she was really nice, although the waiting room was dirty and extremely hot. During the appt she said I had to go to a different center for my colonoscopy bc I have sleep apnea, but she said to follow up with her. The follow up appointment was at 830 in the morning on telemendicine, and she didn’t join the session until 9:15, after I had called the office and asked why no one was at my appointment. After she finally joined she was extremely rude to me, and wasn’t listening to what I was saying. I asked her why she was so short with me, when she had been so late. She said she was with other patients. That didn’t seem honest bc she was in gym clothes and joined zoom inside her kitchen. She said I needed to redo my colonoscopy and someone would call. They never did. I thought it was really unprofessional.
I had a procedure recently with Dr Balzora and her team at NYU Langone Health. The procedure went smoothly, and the staff was professional and reassuring throughout. Thank you all!
Dr. Balzora and her whole team were fantastic! They're kind, caring, thorough - and excellent at what they do, and made me feel comfortable from the first visit all the way through.
This is a review of the office, not the doctor: I had an appointment to see the doctor today, which I scheduled back in September. I waited 4 months to see the doctor. Then I was notified that the office had to cancel my appointment. When I called back for a reschedule, as instructed, the earliest they could give me was JUNE. That is TOTALLY unacceptable. It has left me feeling utterly depressed, with no hope at all left in our country's medical system. I hope that someone sees my review and tries to rectify this completely unacceptable situation. UPDATE: The doctor is out the entire month of January. I wasted about 3 hours playing phone tag with her office to try to get rescheduled for sooner/closer to my original scheduled appointment on January 11th. The fact that there is another patient in these reviews who had a similar experience speaks to the fact that there is obviously something very wrong with the organization of the office. There was a scheduling/communication ball dropped here, and the office is not making good on correcting the issue. I would not trust your scheduled appointments here.
**updated** Several years later, and still a big fan of Dr. Balzora. She and her teams have been consistently super-competent, professional, thorough and a pleasure to deal. Her procedures go like clockwork. And Dr Balzora demonstrates all the hallmarks of an exceptionally fine practitioner. She's efficient, communicates clearly, asks all relevant questions, pays attention to and remembers what you tell her, and follows up promptly. Additionally reassuring: she herself is the picture of health I've found over the years that doctors who model self-care tend to be the best ones.
Dr. Balzora is thorough and informative. She has a nice bed size manner as well. I had my first colonoscopy with her and she made me feel super comfortable.
Dr. Balzora and her entire team were so incredibly professional, attentive, and comforting throughout the entire procedure that it made what could have been a very stressful, vulnerable situation, everything but. I feel very lucky to have them on my side!! I highly recommend this practice and this team.
Made an appointment to see the doctor on 7/27/23. Couple of weeks before was informed that she is not available that day. Changed appointment to 09/21/23. On 8/31 was informed that she, again, not available for an appointment. The next closest date is in January 2024. She may be a good doctor, but no thank you.
Very professional, knowledgeable, and to the point. Dr Sophie and her team were wonderful. I would gladly return to her office.
