I love the Source! A great place for both experienced and beginning climbers. You won't find a better atmosphere anywhere! The stuff is beyond amazing, making sure everyone's being super safe while having a good time. I could not recommend the Source more!

The people at Source are great and they foster a fun and supportive atmosphere. They have been very helpful in my journey as a beginning climber and prepared me very well for transitioning to outdoor climbing!

Adults and children a like. Everyone has an opportunity to have fun and challenge yourself mentally and physically. They are very safety conscientious while still being friendly and kind. Our family has been climbing off and on over the last 6 or so years since they opened.

3 stars as far as modern climbing gyms go... but 4 stars for being the only gym in Vancouver. The pros: 1. The setting isn't too easy. Assuming the tweaky problems don't hurt you, you'll get strong if you climb here. 2. It's a GREAT deal for the money. Sure, the place is smaller, but if you're a resourceful person, it's got everything you need to make you a strong, fit climber. 3. Great location for those of us north of the river. 4. The staff is great and everybody there is friendly and encouraging. The cons: 1. It's small. Bouldering is a constant challenge in choosing problems that don't top out over somebody. If the busy nights had any more people, it'd actually be a problem. 2. Too many auto-belays and a second floor that is both useless to an adult climber and always empty. But I'm sure when the day comes, I'll be glad birthday parties happen up there, and not in the main area. 3. Grimy old holds. Not much that can be done about that I suppose, because holds are $$$. 4. The setting is clunky and just not that fun. The movement in particular is lacking. Hastily thrown together problems that probably work better for smaller people/kids. It IS plenty hard though, which is better than the alternative. 5. There are a TON of spinners. Haven't had so many holds spin on me anywhere. I think it's the wall texture. Keeps things interesting I guess. Overall, great value and more than enough for most climbers. Will definitely continue to use if I stay up north.

Super fun place to learn or refine your climbing skills. Extremely family friendly yet has dedicated areas for experienced climbers.kid zone is great for building confidence. Staff is always very knowledgeable and friendly while also keeping an eye on operations. Highly recommended.
