Was the best pedicure experience . Totally enjoyed the sugar scrub and hot towel wraps.. Thanks ladies. I will be back for another swing, mimosa and great service.
Nice manicure and pedicure salon, where each person sits in an individual front porch swing with cushions. They use disposable liners and wear gloves, I saw some previous comment that said they didn’t, but they are now. At least one Mamosa is complementary with the service, which was wonderful.
Amazing experience can't wait to go again. Had the pedicure with the bottomless mimosas. The pedicure was great and I really felt catered
As a regular customer at souther swings, I can’t recommend them enough. The whole team is welcoming and can’t do enough to ensure you get the best experience. Ms Mary is a wizz at dip, and I typically go 3-4 weeks without any breaks or chips. Thank you everyone at southern swings!Service: Dip powder
Fantastic service, cute setup, and even a couple mimosas on the house! They really take care of you here. Got a perfect pedicure and I’d love to go back for their other services. Happy to support a local business with such excellent staff.
So glad I found this place! I called ahead to see if they took walk-ins or had time available and they said no. Then they called me back and said someone canceled and I could come in! Mary did an absolutely amazing wonderful job with my manicure! My pedicure was a little rushed, but I was thankful they called me back and could fit me in. Definitely making appointments here in the future.
Unique! Clean! And above par on all levels. The staff is professional, the service is supreme and the decor is adorable. I absolutely love the swings and copper buckets. It’s a nice change up from the boring ole massage chairs. If you haven’t been here yet, please go give them a try! Even with the covid issue, the staff is taking all of the right steps to keep you safe! I wouldn’t go anywhere else! *this was my first visit here and I am hooked!
We had a wonderful time & a great pedicure all while on a porch swing!!
I felt like the technician was a bit lazy and sloppy, and not very attentive. She did 2 layers of red color and then 2 of the top coat i never have a second layer of top coat because it’s unnecessary. The top coat on some nails was still bad after it dried, it was rough with visible gaps, so asked to re-do on some nails at least i still have some roughness on my nails. I still added a 15% tip which i probably shouldn’t have but i try to tip everytime, but i don’t feel that this work was worth $40 see pictures below. The manager gave me a call after i posted a review to apologize and suggested a refund or a new appointment to fix the work, which was very thoughtful and greatly appreciated, however i am only in a city for a day so could not get it fixed.
UPDATE/EDIT: the manager/ Owner of the salon reached out to me after my review and invited me in to have the service redone or a refund. I thought that was incredibly kind because it’s not often places do that. I happily accepted the service to be redone. In more words or less he explained that the girl who had originally done my nails was new and apologized profusely. He called in Lan to do my nails, she consulted with me first about my nails and what I would like done to them and was super attentive to what went wrong and how she planned to fix it. My nails came out great! She didn’t even have to soak them off which I was scared to do because of the tiny cuts the previous tech had made on my skin/cuticles. Honestly the customer service was unmatched. Super happy they reached out and my nails look a ton better. Thanks again!! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I had heard about this place and saw the social media pages, did my research, etc. and I was pretty excited to try. I’m starting to think there is no place in the city that you can go a good full set. Not even great, just good. I got the basic pedicure sugar scrub and a acrylic full set. The technician cut so much skin off on my toes every time I dipped back in the water all my cuts were on fire. I think my toes came out fine but I could’ve done without the cuts on my skin and cuticles. My nails on the other hand.... I don’t even know where to start. I always get coffin shaped nails. Out of all 10 nails, about 2 actually made it to coffin status. I can’t even tell you what the shape of the others are. I asked for long nails and she trimmed them right but after acrylic & shape filed them away. On my right hand all my nails are sloping and uneven. She asked if it were alright and they were all past fixing. She also told me I was her first client since the pandemic. Something I wish I had known beforehand. I’m just disappointed. What’s also upsetting is another tech kept coming over to inspect her work and my nails were visibly uneven and she didn’t say anything which kind of makes me think this is the norm and all are used to this type of shotty work. If I had let her keep trying to fix it I would basically be sitting here with shorter nails than I already had. Idk who those techs are on their IG page but they were not in the salon today. And the salon is so beautiful and the staff was friendly but I don’t go to salons for aesthetic, I go to get my nails done. Please link your Nail techs. At this point, I’ll drive to the Westbank. Hell, I’ll drive to the Northshore cuz I done been through about half the salons in the city and I’m DONE.
