Haven't wone a raffle in 3 years So what you are saying is I have to purchase something. People I know who have purchased things have wone, i purchased a few things but never during a raffle and have never wone. How can you have the same person win 3 months in a row and others win nothing. Great system
Southside Skateshop rocks. And Jack especially, he's fun, friendly, cool, and a skilled craftsman and sportsman. I'm 57. My last skateboard was in 1976. Jack helped me custom choose the right board and parts and made it all in front of me as I watched and I took pictures of everything. The matching outfit today was just serendipity. And got some safety gear too. Jack gave "Old Timer" a quick lesson too. If you want to feel like a kid again I highly recommend buying a skateboard. I've only been skating inside the house for few minutes and feel 45 YEARS YOUNGER already. Aren't you scared, not at all. Once you feel that glide your inner child will light up instantly.
I would give more stars if I could the experience was that great. Jack helped my 11 year old girl find her perfect board and setup. He was patient in explaining the products and even made sure what she chose was right for what she would actually need. After a quick and professional assembly he gave her some pointers on ride stance and technique! She was SOOO stoked over this board! Thanks again SS and Jack, shes rolling all over the place now :
Its all about supporting my local skateboarding shop, I’ve visited 3 times already and they have about everything, and plan on keep going as I’m just starting in this and dig deeper into skateboarding.
If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. I went in to buy my first board and Jack gave seriously the best customer service I’ve ever experienced. I’m a girl whose hasn’t really skated for too long. I’ve been penny boarding for a year and a half or so, so I was already really intimidated. Jack laid it all out for me and then helped me with the set-up. This is gonna sound crazy but when I first got there, I no joke almost fainted after too many mimosas at Sunday funday. Jack went to his car and got me water and allowed me a few moments to collect myself before we started talking skate. Lol anyway, I went from feeling extremely intimidated and anxious to feeling really great and excited about my first board. Jack knows his stuff and he offered up so much knowledge. He even gave me a skatepark recommendation. Seriously if you’re looking to get a board or just some gear, this is the place to go! Thanks so much to Jack for keeping it real and helping me out so much!
This place is incredible! I live in Dallas and ordered a pair of shoes online. I always research an online store if I've never purchased from them before and I was amazed at what I found. It's not just a skateshop, they also have a skatepark, which are becoming increasingly rare, and they partner with the community using their own resources to raise money for childrens charities. All of this while staying true to and promoting the skate culture that I grew up with in the 90s. Check them out, you'll get great skate gear at good prices from a business that gives back to the kids in their community.
My 13yr old daughter wanted a skateboard and Southside got her setup with a great board that fits her. My 9 yr old was feeling left out so we had to go back for a board for her too. Eric did a great job of steering her to a nice board. They were super busy good for them but he still took time to make sure that we got a board that makes sense for her. And he hooked us up with some used parts that were just traded out by another customer that let us turn an old longboard deck into a pretty cool working board for only the price of some bolts and risers. Super good luck for us and really cool that Southside would take care us us like that. Definitely earned out business and looking forward to checking out the skatepark next. Thanks!
I had a great experience purchasing a complete deck! The guy that helped me was super cool and knowledgeable about his stuff! Definitely will be back!
Wonderful experience. Jack took care in teaching us about the different types and functions of skateboards. He made solid suggestions that led us to purchase a board that we did not ultimately come in seeking, but rather he listened to what functions we wanted and suggested the right board for us. Jack was not only knowledgeable, but personable and friendly. Southside Skateshop should be your next stop!
My 12 year old daughter wanted to get her first board so we went to Southside Skateshop. The guy who helped us was very knowledgeable about the size and type of board she needed to start. I'm not a skater and had very little first hand knowledge going into this. Not only did he not try to oversell us, but he recommended a prebuilt board that was cheaper and kept me from making the mistake of buying too much protective equipment, as all she really needed right now is a good helmet. As she grows into a righteous skater, we won't be going anywhere but here to improve her equipment along with her skills. Hands down the best retail experience I have had in a long time. I hope they continue to follow their customer service model, treating customers right to build long term business instead of going for the quick buck as so many others do these days.
