Reviews
Worked here in 2014 for one month. Seeing the reviews haven't changed I noted the stars were too high and decided to weigh in on it.
The comments regarding Sally are indeed accurate. Once she insisted all patients were liars and instructed to never believe anything they said. While I was there she threatened us with summary dismissal for using the office computer. Simultaneously she asked me for help with excel.
When hired I was promised full time and benefits. I got less than 20 hours a week and no benefits. In order to get more hours you had to 'volunteer' and come work off the clock.
As for patient life it was dull. The program was all right but there was literally nothing to do besides old board games and smoking. The facility's former gym room was being used for storage, so the patients had no access to the weights there.
Staff were minimally trained. Concerns about security expressed by other reviewers were accurate from my experience. Bed checks were about the only mechanism to ensure people stayed in. That and their own desire to get better.
People who got better here were succeeding despite the facility, not because of it. I wish I hadn't waited 4 years to toss up this information, but I was worried about bad comments to future employers. I'm in a better place now and can be more honest now.

I was here for 5 days detoxing off of heroin. Everyone was super nice and helpful. I give the food 1 star. I couldn't eat any of it. The snacks they give out are delicious tho and I brought money with me so I was able to buy snacks from the vending machines. I like the fact that you can go out for a smoke break at any time you want, 10pm, 2am, 4am etc. I'm gonna be going there again for the 5 day detox and this time I'm gonna stay for the 30 days of inpatient.

I loved the lectures, all counselors were awesome (especially Crystal) and Tina. Care team were great and they truly cared( sid ,Brittany , Becca, Tim ,Dan and justin)This treatment is definitely a good place to work hard on yourself and staff are true and sincere. I definitely learned here. The food wasn't that great .

I take my Addict daughter to drop her off for a scheduled bed date. We are accompanied by a Drug Court representative. I ring the bell at the front door, no answer so I ring again, we wait. I'm about to ring the bell again when we see a woman who looks like she was beaten up pretty bad even had a eye patch. At this point I'm thinking, I really hope this is not staff. She OPENS the door and let's us in. We tell her we're checking in. She is in pain and tells us she'll go find someone, we again wait. Finally a man comes, we tell him we're there to drop off my daughter, he seems confused. I find out the woman who opened the door was an actual patient! I asked him if this was normal and why she had access to the front door. He said he didn't hear the bell and no it wasn't normal and he'd look into it. The whole time we were standing in the fourier I saw no staff. He left and came back 5 mins later, he came across as confused and in a hurry.
See for me I'm extremely concerned about the professionalism of this facility. For me this is a life (secured in a safe facility) or death (back on the streets) situation for my baby girl. If a patient can come open the door, no staff around and the severe lack of professionalism is concerning. The whole time we were there the front door remained unlocked (I know cause it said, Open in green letters! I left with him and my daughter going into a room off the fourier and shutting the door. The front door remained unlocked as I left my baby girl there.
Not a great way to start off, I'd say! I will be contacting someone in charge to find out how this could happen and how they plan to prevent this in the future.

I like the idea of this program and facility. I could so see it working for me very well. Unfortunately due to medical issues I had to leave the program early on a medical discharge. I loved the set guidelines of the schedule and structure. But do feel there are two many smoke breaks.(and in a smoker) Basically one every hour except one at end of the day where there is one that's two hours. I wanted to try to quit smoking and got a doctor's prescription for Nicoderm I feel every two hours would be more beneficial for breaks. Also on weekends there is no mandatory classes or group sessions. So you have a lot of time to sit with thoughts racing. I feel a few more scheduled sessions of group would be beneficial on the weekend. I also agree with some of the above comments regarding staff. They need more training together to make things more consistent. Because it does seem like depending on which care team staff is on duty which rules apply. So one rule May apply and be enforced one day by a staff member then the next day it wouldn't with a different member. This makes it very hard as a new client to understand rules, regulations, and structure. The young staff members have a tendency to form cliques with certain staff members and clients. There is one counselor in particular that was very awesome for me. Went out of her way to help me with even the smallest of things. Which made them even more special. CARON YOU ARE SUPERB AND MY INSPIRATIONAL 👼
