Unless you know fluent Spanish and are part of the hispanic community, it can feel intimidating coming here and a little awkward. The menu isn’t readily available inside and the staff isn’t very helpful when it comes to ordering. I wouldn’t call establishment clean either, there’s a lot of debris on the floor. They rebranded to an english name to draw in more costumers, but I don’t think they’re following through very well. With that being said, the food is amazing, the mixed sandwich is huge and delicious. It’s worth some awkwardness trying to order. They also have tres leche cake that you cannot pass on. It’s sad that some of the poor executions are getting in the way of what should be an amazing Spanish cafe.
The empanadas were AMAZING. So flavorful, I said to my husband, "This is one of the best things I've ever had"
Do you like sweet bread or tamales, this is your place, they sell a big assorted of sweet bread and offer another food too, quesadillas , tortas and some more and all with a homemake taste.
I know some Spanish but if you are not fluent I would recommend a different place. I didn’t understand how to place an order and online ordering was not available.i went in for churros. Online it said churros were 1.50 and it said caramel /vanilla. She charged me 2$ per churro and i tried to ask about the caramel but she said cream on the inside. The worker also took others orders that came after me instead of helping me. And I believe she made a joke about me due to my lack of Spanish . She looked at me and laughed with the people next to me but I didn’t get the joke. The churros are not made fresh . Very cold but still decent flavor . I will warm up at home. I doubt I would return. I do appreciate the culture and food but this was not a good experience . Poor customer service
Great food & prices! Need to know Spanish. Even though our Spanish is minimal we made it through and really enjoyed the food!
An ever-changing huge rack of delicious homemade sweets and don't forget their empanadas and treats! :- Get there early like any bakery for best selections and freshest goodies! Served old school ...just grab you a tray some fresh tongs a wax paper and make your own fun order! Smiling staff fun eclectic atmosphere.
Fun little place. Quite and there is a lot of space. A bit of Spanish is helpful there. Reminds me of places I've traveled to so that's why I enjoy it.
The churros were yummy, but with the language barrier I misunderstood the cost and spent way more than I intended. I also got tres Leche cake which was okay. The one at Chuy's is much better. They needed to sweep the floor. Overall it was okay.
So we waited around for a good while for our food but I didn't mind because I wasn't in a rush. What really bothered me was how much I was charged at the end when I paid. He did the math in his head and it ended up being $10 over what it should've been. I get that we're all struggling but ripping off new customers is not a way to bring people back in. I was unable to do anything until I left the place and looked at the prices online.
Great Mexican bakery. Huge baked goods and very inexpensive. Highly recommend!
