St Charles Vision

Exam adequate but I am not at all pleased with their outrageous 200% mark-ups on contact lenses. I called to order new boxes of lenses -- they wanted $95 a box 6 lenses -- exact same thing could be found online for $25-30 per box. I couldn't afford to buy a pair of glasses because they wanted $500 for a simple no-frills pair, and that was with insurance. I have no issue with the quality of care but the price here even with insurance is through the roof.

I had my Eye Exam by St Charles Vision on St Charles Ave completed on 11/18/19 which generated a complicated prescription. Everyone from the receptionist, the eye care assistant, the Eye Doctor and the eyewear consultant was fantastic to deal with. In particular I was thoroughly please with my eyewear consultant Dana who hope I got the name correct was a real trooper and guided me to the perfect set of frames and after trying on about 30 different sets of glasses. I didn't expect my glasses to be ready for about 12-14 Days but on Sunday 11/24/19, I received a message that my glasses were ready to be picked up. The new glasses fit and look great and I could not be more pleased with the total experience. Highly recommend these folks.

If you go here, ask lots of questions how they are billing things. Went in for an exam with the intention of ordering contacts. They charged me a small fee making it seem like a co-pay for the exam. Come to find out they charged a larger some to my annual lenses allotment for just the exam. Now they've burned through my coverage for lenses with my insurance and will have to pay out of pocket if I want glasses or contact lenses with my current prescription.

How much did exclusivity on sunglass sales at Jazz fest run you guys? I'm sure everyone really appreciated not being able to find a reasonably affordable pair of shades at the festival.

My wife bought expensive glasses there and found out the prescription was filled wrong-intentionally! We asked for a refund, they will not respond to that request. Do not use this place!

Absolute worst experience ever do yourselves a favor and don’t go... We are all not wrong about this place..
