St Clair County Jail

Really nice upgrade if you lived in a dumpster. Everything about the place has some sort of scam attatched. A dollar for a ramen noodle soup. 1000% mark up. A dollar a minute local phone calls. 1/2 rotted fruit and massacred pasta with orange - ish paste for a mid day offering, I can't bring my self to call it a meal - maybe food, but not intended for human consumption. It was however a visual improvement over what was brought at 530 am. I'm pretty sure it came from a can that had the friskies buffet label obscured. Cable Tv - no stations, crappy pillow, oh wait no pillow, a blanket like sandpaper with a hint of insecticide gas being given off. The facility does offer complimentary laundry service once a week, your garments are returned to you the next day - your crispy bright white 14 dollar t-shirt is now grayish brown with the same insecticide fabric softener order. The staff is generally rude appearing to be pissed off by your very existence. All this for the highly discounted 58 dollars a night. No one would intentionally lodge here by choice. You'll be way better off to sleep it off in the parking lot!
