Aging is hard enough to handle but when my eyes started playing games and reading glasses were not cutting it for normal living, I called John Gardiner of St Matthews Vision Center. He was our Class President of the University of Louisville Student Government and I knew him to be very trustworthy and extremely bright. He and his staff of courteous, kind, helpful, friendly, respectful and honest professionals guided me thru the process at my convenience. Within 10 days and only a couple visits of less than an hour, I strutted out the door with perfect vision and a cool pair of glasses. They did this in coordination with my insurance so there was no cost to me. They handled everything flawlessly. I was proud of John at U of L and am heartened to have had such a great experience at Saint Matthews Vision Center.

I have been a customer of John's since Dr. Moran retired - over 25 years ago! He checks that my lenses are made correctly and makes precise measurements to ensure proper placement. I appreciate his candor when choosing a frame, explaining why some will or won't work with my specific prescription. He takes pride in his work and his business. I am only too happy to publicly share this 5 star rating!

To the staff at Saint Matthews Vision Center. It was a pleasure to be able to have my eyes tested carefully and accurately by Dr. Griffitt and to purchase new clear glasses and sun glasses. John Gardner, the licensed optician, did an excellent and professional job of helping me select frames-- very patiently showing me many pairs that would be good for my narrow nose bridge. When the glasses arrived, the the thickness needed to be adjusted. He was very diligent in making sure that was corrected as well as the frames fit comfortably and securely. This family owned business was phenomenal! We are in from out of town, and my husband stepped on his glasses, and they were glad to help us out and fix it for free. Couldn’t ask for nicer people!

John assisted me and was very friendly and super helpful! I recommend this place. I came in bc I had received glasses at a different eye glass company and I was tired of having to go there several times to get my prescription right. My glasses were still a little off, so I went to a new place to get a second opinion. John, at St Matthew's Vision Center helped me out and was very kind. I agree with other about the great customer service you'll receive here.

We highly recommend St. Matthews Vision Center. My son received his first pair of glasses there and John was so patient with him and conscious of our budget issues. Having a young child with glasses, we especially love the amazing customer service when we need adjustments and repairs!

An excellent experience at St Matthews. Was visiting from out of town forgot my contacts but had my prescription. He fixed me up with no problems without a massive cost. He was very kind and personable.
