I was charged with criminal drunk driving based on an alleged witness stating that she saw me driving. I didn't do well on the field sobriety test and my alcohol concentration was above the legal limit. I was referred to Attorney Pat Stangl of Stangl Law Offices, S.C. by a friend and knew right away that I was in good hands. During the arrest the officer kept telling me they had a witness who saw me driving; he was trying to get me to confess to something I did not do. I kept telling him I wasn't driving but they didn't care and arrested me anyway. After investigating the case Attorney Stangl filed a motion arguing that the police officers did not have sufficient legal reason to arrest me. During the investigation Attorney Stangl was able to show that the officer's claim that a witness saw me driving was false. The witness could not even identify me and never saw me drive or operate the truck. Thanks to Pat the criminal OWI and PAC charges were dismissed outright! I cant say enough about how grateful I am and what a tremendous job Pat and his Staff did representing me from start to finish. I found myself charged with a felony OWI with my future and promising career hanging in the balance. I wanted the best legal defense I could find to help me through this very difficult and delicate situation. I did my due diligence, researched the best criminal defense lawyers in WI, and immediately made an appointment with Pat Stangl. I knew that he had a reputation for winning difficult cases, and I was immediately impressed after meeting with him. He was honest, forthright, and very knowledgeable about what I was going through. He told me at our initial meeting that if there was any way out of the felony charge he would find it for me. Pat aggressively defended my case for over a year, digging deep into my prior convictions. He was able to clearly demonstrate to the court that in one of my prior convictions I was not properly advised of one of my constitutional rights and subsequently that prior conviction could not be used against me. I was referred to Pat Stangl by a Madison court reporter. She told me he is the best person for my case! I was pulled over and cited with an OWI. The officer also claimed that I was in possession of illegal drugs, and the matter was referred for criminal prosecution. I hired Pat Stangl of Stangl Law Offices, and they did a remarkable job. He successfully dealt with the OWI and thankfully, I was not charged with any criminal offense regarding the alleged possession.
