We had a great start to our visit with great customer service from the person who seated us and the waitress. We ordered cheesesteak egg rolls for an appetizer and they were excellent. The service was very slow and the meal itself was not very good. I ordered the Tavern burger that was so over cooked and burnt. I could barely cut through it. The onion strings were soggy and the ranch sauce tasted like something was wrong with it. They do have a few other things on the menu that I would like to try. I would be willing to go back and give them a try.
This place is huge. We’re worried that the wait would be about 1 h because the parking lot was pretty much full. Turned out to be we only had to wait for 15 mins. TVs everywhere, literally everywhere. Great place to watch sport games. Wings and ribs were tasty. Our server was so friendly and checked on us often even though she was busy.
Stanley's is an iconic sports bar in North Wilmington that has been in existence since 1935. It's a fun place to watch a game. We were most recently there for a double header Phillies World Series game, and an Eagles Game. The food is good pub food. The service is great. As far as ambience goes, it used to be a 5+, but after a remodel a few years ago nearly all the memorabilia was removed in favor of more TVs. Our party, who all grew up going to Stanleys all agree that it really lost something when that happened. Therefore it is at a 4. Still a fun place though.
Went to Stanley's on Veteran's Day and received a complimentary half rack of ribs with a side. Probably the best ribs I've ever had- amazing sauce, cooked to perfection, and fall off the bone tenderness. Our bartender Melissa was kind, professional, and attentive. Someone said she has a reputation for being the best bartender in the area, and I don't doubt that for a second. The free ribs are an amazingly kind gesture, and I'm very grateful. Thank-you Stanley's! I'll be back regularly for sure.
I've been in Delaware for 18 years and heard about Stanley's often. Today I finally decided to stop and have some dinner. The dining room is clean and comfortable with plenty of TV screens. The menu isn't huge but manageable. The beer selections are varied and all excellent choices. I had the brisket sandwich with onion strings my favored option to rings. The wife had the roast beef dip. We were both pleased and satisfied. Service was friendly and vivacious. I even checked out desserts and had a very fine cookie sundae. We'll be back for sure.
Definitely one of the best restaurants in the area! Very friendly stuff! Great food. Our waiter with a triangle tattoo on the right hand was very friendly and helped us to choose beer and food. I highly recommend to try crab cakes! Onion rings were not as good as expected. I would recommend to order fries or mashed potatoes as a side. So delicious
Food was delicious, huge menu with plenty of options. Service staff was friendly and food came out quick. Good place to bring the family, but also peaked into the bar area and looks fantastic for sports as well.Food: 5/5
Usually pretty good place to eat. Service was very good and place was packed. TVs everywhere. Good atmosphere. We had bad fish. Tasted like it was basted in chemicals. Didn't look right but tried it anyway. It smelled aweful. She spit the second bite out. She has been sick ever since. Unfortunately, we don't return to bad experiences.
I enjoyed my visit. It was relaxed and the bartenders were friendly and active. The food was great, what I had was very fresh.Food: 5/5
My husband and I love this place! We’ve been going there for years and never disappointed. The food, service and atmosphere are all 5 stars.
