State Liquor Store

Oh Utah you just have be so controlling over alcohol. The LDS church plays a huge part in the state's laws and regulations for alcohol as the people thing they can regulate morality by having some archaic and backwards laws. The store it self is nothing to sneeze at and the parking lot is small and can get quite packed 15 minutes before closed. Place looks straight out of the 90s and nothing is cold because they don't want you to drink and drive on your way home. So all the beer and wine is room temperature as with the rest of the hard liquor. Seriously the state charges so much tax on the stuff they could more than afford to put in some coolers and refrigerators. The state does do specials every month on different liquors and it makes some of them more affordable. Since it is state ran they are closed all Sundays and any state holidays. Anything over 3.2% alcohol content has to be sold in state ran liquor stores. Don't believe the it is really 4.0% BS the state tries to say. If you some how end up here on a Sunday make the short drive up to Idaho or Wyoming where they treat adults like adults and not like children.

If you like alcohol and live in Utah, the State Liquor store is the only place to go. This one in Logan is a little smaller than ones down south, but it still offers a decent selection of wines, beers, and liquors. I do wish they would offer a greater variety of beers, though. The staff is generally pretty friendly and helpful.

Good selection and okay staff. Service is always pretty fast unless it's a holiday.

Guess you could give 1 star or 5...Both the best and the worse liquor store in town! The prices are remarkably similar to other liquor stores in Utah, our conservative, free market, state. Logan needs another or larger liquor store.

Only place in town to buy actual beer or wine. Wine selection is pretty good. Hard liquor selection is okay. Beer selection is dismal. Would love it if they could provide more offerings for beer.
