Stay & Play Pet Resort

I hate saying anything bad about places I've visited, but I wouldn't want anyone to have the same experience I did. We brought our dog in for a simple bath and toenail trim. When we went to pick him up, I noticed he had been bleeding. I mentioned it to her and she said something like, yes, but it has stopped now and he's okay. I took our dog outside to use the bathroom on my way out and after getting back into the vehicle, our dog was bleeding relentlessly. The injury was much too great for the styptic they put on it. It was a mess in the car and I felt terrible for him (our dog) having such a bad experience. I can only imagine that that they used nail trimmers that are for highly skilled groomers only and that most people should be using the trimmers that have a flat side that the dog's paw rests against. Using it that way prevents them from cutting into the dog's quick. If amateurs use the other type of nail trimmers, it is totally free-hand folks and greater chance of injury as there is much less control for wannabees. I was quite peeved that they did that to him. On top of that, she charged me $27 for all that. Are you kidding me? What a rip off. (And to think there is actually a spot on the receipt when paying, to fill in for a tip. I am glad I didn't after seeing my dog. I can't justify going back there again. Additionally, they are not the friendliest of people. They're just okay. They are more matter-of-fact type of folks there. They need to make a lot more concerted effort at being friendly. However, customer service skills is either part of your personality or it is not, and if it is not, should get out of it. By the way, by the time we got home and let him out again to bathroom, it had re-opened and another mess. We finally soaked the wound in salt water and put that Liquid Bandage stuff across where he was cut too short. Finally got it under control. I am really annoyed that he had to experience that as he has never had that from any groomer before. Also, I'm really annoyed that she took $27 from me for that! I can get my dog fully groomed, (not just a bath) and get his toenails done and completely dried and thoroughly brushed for about $50 and $55 when I leave her a tip. No blood in process or afterwards...ever! Keep this in mind when you check this place out.

We called stay and play pet resort and spoke with their receptionist a month before we were planning on boarding our dog. We discussed his vaccination records and we were told that there were no issues and we can drop him off for boarding. Then we toured the facility in person and handed all the vaccination records to one of the employees at stay and play. Again we were told that we can drop off our dog later that week for boarding, there were no issues. We had our friend drop off the dog prior to our scheduled vacation. This time Stay and play told our friend that they cannot accept our dog because his vaccines were not up to date. We were surprised when we found out. We had to scramble to make alternative arrangements because our flight was departing within a few hours. We will not be boarding our dog here in the future due to the above experience.

Awesome place, my dog loved it. Loved the report card at the end of the day!

Our pups love playing and staying here. Love the outdoor play space and the staff is awesome.

My dogs love it. They are so tired after staying there. Knowledgeable staff.
