Strand Theatre

The Strand is the genius child of a couple of classic film lovers with a grand sense of community spirit. The Strand had been closed for decades, but with vision, several years of inspired work, and the generous support of supporters and volunteers, the Strand has risen like the Phoenix from the ashes to become the best reason to be downtown in Vicksburg at night. Classic films, local theatrical performances, filmed operas, and special events including an annual film festival attract a friendly, hip audience. Snacks, soft drinks, and wine in very attractive surroundings all contribute to a most pleasurable--and dare I say--urbane experience.

Wonderful and Amazing Theatre! The love of Plays and Shows here are the Best. Plays are Magical and a must see. Add them on Facebook and read the Calenders of Venues. Ask for Jack. And tell them Tim Sent you.

Nice historical theater with stage. Good for music venue also. Great location downtown Vicksburg.

Be sure to check out the local productions of this theater! They're a lot of talent within this theater and it is always entertaining!

I saw Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde on Halloween and enjoyed it tremendously. I would definitely see another production at their theater.
