Reviews
I just read some of the past reviews which I think are mostly a little on the melodramatic side. This is definitely not the Hilton. It is a little run down. Here are a few suggestions. Maybe if you reopened the swimming pool there wouldn't be the regulars who hang out on the front steps every day all day. This is off-putting to new guests. You wouldn't have this problem if the swimming pool advertised actually had water in it. Also an extended stay facility should be on top of things such as keeping their laundry facilities in working order. Also, the pet deposit/security deposit confusion amongst the staff here is a big concern.
You pay for what you get. Though it's very affordable, don't expect to have high standards. The floors appeared to haven't been mopped for MONTHS. You'll see skid marks and stains on the floor from all the previous people that have stayed. Be sure to bring house slippers, flip flops, or your shoes when your walking around the hotel room. The trash underneath the sink hadn't even been emptied, it was completely full. There was half of a used bandaid stuck right underneath a mirror above our table. The bathroom floor haven't been mopped either, so you'll see tons of dirt stains on there from previous stays. The mattress was stiff, so expect to be tossing and turning at night. So if you're ok with all this.... then by all means.
Clean room the gentleman at the desk that checked us in was awesome. Until checkout. I had to go to the front desk twice claiming my deposit was on my debit card and he needed to swipe it said my deposit was back on my card. No my deposit has not been credited. It was added to room chg and finalizedRooms: 3/5
For $76/night I’ll give it a 5 star, considering it’s M6. The room was big and spacious, with kitchenette. You’ll need cooking pans if you want to cook. Decent, clean in an old way.
Me and my friend lived here for a couple weeks... Surprised we survived. This that place that's literally on the YouTube video “ “Deadliest street in portland”. Honestly, you’re probably better off going and camping in the woods saving the money and buying some weed. Good luck. Rooms: 1/5
The reviews of this place are somewhat frightening and had I read them before I booked I may have changed my mind. However despite the reviews our stay has been pleasant. This isn't a 5 star motel but neither is the price that of a 5 star. For a full size fridge in our very spacious room I found the price reasonable. The front staff have been very helpful. Housekeeping comes upon request. The fact that they have night security is reassuring. The bed sheets have been clean. There is ample parking which is nice and I have personally witnessed staff addressing those that do not belong in the garage to keep it safer for their guests. Yes, as the reviews say there is only one blanket and minimal pillows so bring your own if wanting to have a comfortable night. It is dog friendly which has been a plus as well. The laundry is currently broken and our cooktop didn't work but overall for the price I find Studio 6 a value.
There were people always being noisy and arguing in the hallways. No coffee maker in the room and we asked multiple times for a didn't get one for three days. You'd think with the money they make, they could afford one in every room. I didn't feel safe cause three times I heard someone getting hurt, homeless people rooting through the trash down in the parking garage and people starting fights. The housekeeping staff is nice, but they do not check on the guests to see if they need clean towels or blankets/sheets. The carpet is old and has stains everywhere. The first room we stayed in had a very bad racial slur carved into the table and fridge. Two of the staff members are nice, but the others are rude and don't really care. Most of the time, in the morning, the staff are not at the front desk and it's it's pain. This place is dirty and needs work and better staff and also a LAUNDRY ROOM! But, you get what you pay for..
