Style Encore - Inverness

The buying selection is great and great prices but selling items to them is highway robbery and they don't take most of your items at all. I brought in an entire wardrobe of business clothes. Expensive blazers and shells. 2 boxes worth. They bought 2 shells, one blazer and a pair of jeans for a whopping $10. Seriously, I brought very nice expensive stylish work clothes. One piece was a high end label pantsuit $200 retail worn once for pictures. Offered me $8 for it. see picture Um, no thank you. I don't understand because I saw things on their racks that looked definitely worn. Very disappointing. Selling on marketplace or eBay is a pain, but I would suggest it if you have a lot of nice things. You deserve more than what they offer for the 3 or 4 items they might accept. I guess it's better being on the buying end rather than the selling end.

Very disappointed in my recently selling experience. I have sold with Style Encore consistently for a few years now and am always greeted kindly and informed on the timeline for pickup, etc. I recently dropped off a bag to sell and was greeted immediately with “it’s going to be two or plus hours so just put it in the line and you have to come back tonight to pick it up.” This would have been perfectly fine, but the worker was very rude and angry towards me, as well as others also dropping stuff off. It’s a shame because this is one of the only stores in Birmingham people enjoy selling clothes to, and with the recent change in staff, I feel this is going to change quickly.

0/10 TERRIBLE experience. The workers here seem very clueless & act like they were hired yesterday. I brought a huge box of name brand clothing in great condition and they didn’t buy a single thing, most of the things were still folded so they didn’t even look through my things properly. & also they took 4 hours to call me back when rhey said it would be an hour at most. DONT SELL OR BUY HERE. EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL

You can find all kinds of deals at this store! I wish the isles were a tad wider, but other than that, not a complaint to be had!

Great selection of plus size tops and pants! Very few dresses though. Lots of jewelry and name brand handbags. Very reasonable prices. The store could use a good airing out, carpet cleaning, and some air fresheners, but all of the employees were super nice and helpful! It was a hidden gem that I didn’t know existed, and I’m glad I found it! I haven’t sold any items there yet though so I can’t review that part yet.

The first time going, I heard about it from a friend. I got some really cool items.

I was told AFTER dropping my items off that they would call me in 20-30 mins. I never received a call and after waiting for 3 hours I called them and when I got there to pick up my clothes I was told that they were over stocked and couldn’t take anymore clothes. It would have been nice if they told me that when I went to drop them off.

Great selection of clothes and shoes. Friendly staff.

10 times better that Plato’s closet with customer service and the wait is much shorter. If don’t like the prices for buy back. I suggest selling on eBay if your clothes are in great condition and you can wait a while.
