Summit Athletic Club

This is a decent gym, the prices are fair and they have a lot to offer. They do a pretty good job of maintaining the equipment too which is a huge plus. They have great classes and the instructors are awesome. If your looking for a typical gym I would definitely look into Summit. Every once in awhile they have some great deals which are worth waiting for.

They practically force you to dress modestly if you’re a woman. Can’t wear a sports bra or even a tank top without getting looked at like I committed a crime. Not to mention, they have a garbage cancellation policy and horrible customer service. I’ll never recommend this gym to anyone, ever again.

I hope the owners read this. This place appears clean at first sight, but look closer and it's grimey everywhere. The treadmills all lean to the left or right for an off axis workout, or they don't incline at all. It's good if you want to put extra work on one side of your body. Lots of cardio equipment is missing fasteners and bolts on them, they're safe, but it's easily noticeable. This place feels cheap and unkept compared to the main gym on 1450 South. They're not maintained at the same standard which is disappointing.

Small, a little cramped at times, but a 24 hour location is always a plus. They always keep it clean. I personally enjoy it for my weekday workouts when I'm in a time crunch for school. One issue I've found here is the child care workers don't always work towards taking care of crying children. They caused my daughters to cry and then immediately took them to my wife (in the middle of her workout). The other locations actually play with and help the kids have fun so as not to ruin their experience. Unfortunately, my wife cannot go to this location because they don't help keep the kids happy all the time. Not sure why that happened in the first place.
