Surratts-Clinton Branch Library, PGCMLS

Ridiculously ghetto atmosphere - loud and unruly. Everyone there talks and laughs in full voice - sometimes even shouting. It is ALWAYS inundated with undisciplined, screaming children of young ghetto "baby mamas" who don't care to control their wild offspring. A 3D printer on the information desk makes enough noise to fill half the building and is constantly running. There are flies and spider webs in every corner and window. I routinely get there when the doors open at 10am and the men's room already reeks of urine like some inner city bus station. The table tops are filthy with food stains and hair - I bring cleaning wipes to sanitize the area that I risk sitting on. People are allowed to sleep there all day. There is a so called quiet room which is actually the most disruptive part of the building as the "book store" room next door usually sounds like there is a gang fight going on. It is cold in the winter - like there is no heat. My hands get so numb it is tough to type on my laptop. I have to keep them in my pockets and keep my coat on to use the wifi for more than a few minutes. I have been there when it is hot in the summer - there was no air conditioning last summer as they had a giant fan standing at the front desk blowing hot air. It makes me sad and angry that I pay taxes for this and have to drive all the way down to Waldorf to get to a decent library that is maintained and managed correctly. I wouldn't care if this library was closed down and funding used for something else other than a place for free videos, wifi, and babysitting.

Worst library ever. Literally have to use my hotspot to take online test. If you have actually been to a real updated library with working wifi, aesthetically pleasing, calming yet scholarly decor, comfortable chairs (you know, with cushions so they don't cut off your circulation/pinching nerves causing paresthesias in 30 minutes), and a quiet room with more than 4 chairs with one girl literally using one to prop up her leg, so really more than 3, then you will know this place is bottom of the barrel. I can't believe my taxes go to this. And the sad thing is, the people here do not know what they are missing and how badly they are being deprived of a functional library. Shame! I will go to South Bowie were I feel like I can study in 2018 and not 1995.

This is a very nice library with a great atmosphere. The grounds are well kept and the library itself is always clean. Additionally, the staff is very friendly and helpful. It's simply a rewarding experience every time I frequent this library.

I love this library friendly staff willing to help. Can usually find a computer without a wait time. Excellent system of requesting books to be pulled ahead of time. It's really nice that they offer a couple copies to be printed free nice perk.

I use this branch frequently, the staff is always courteous and helpful. I just noticed that they provide free lunches for children ... which I believe is awesome !!! This branch and it's services are greatly appreciated.
